Brew'n & Do'n at the Virginia Eastern Shore

Well, the Brewery is retired, and so am I.  I can pretty much sit back and enjoy golf, fishing, and just good old relaxing.  I still like good brews, but I no longer develop recipes, buy ingredients, and brew them - I don't make beer anymore; I just buy it.   The Brewing Page is no longer 'evolving', but the info contained there still documents excellent procedures for producing good beer, and provides some good info that will help in that regard.  Cheers to all .. !!

Who's this smuck? This page is managed by Ron Wrucke, now retired at the Virgina Eastern Shore (another great place to live ... & drink a few brews while you're at it !).  My brewing was dedicated to producing great beer - while keeping things as simple and as expedient as possible.... Although this page is mostly associated with beer, there is a little space allocated to a family album as well as some family genealogy (links below) ... Welcome and happy browsing !! The Brewing Page  A compilation of information collected or developed over the years to assist with my homebrewing.   I suspect that both beginning and experienced brewers alike will find something of interest, and would guess that 75% of the information provided is unique to this site.  Issues addressed include time-tested efficient procedures for extract brewing, bottling, and bottle cleaning.  Homebrewing subjects such as water quality (what's important and when to add what); information on grains and hops; predicting and tweeking BrewColor are addressed in detail.  Also provided are a compilation of brewing tips, some favorite recipes, and a mishmash of brewing-related art with a humorous slant ...

WruckeStuff  The Wrucke family currently consists of my wife Sherry, two daughters (Shannon & Stacy) and their husbands John Wescoat and Erik Eslich, plus five grandsons (one is too 'new' for the group photo).  The "WruckeStuff" page has links to a gallery of family photos and genealogy information tracing the Wrucke roots back to Germany in the mid-1800s, as well as my mom's family (Kinsley and Duffy) back to Ireland..

Other Web Sites  A growing list of other interesting sites related primarily to beer and brewing ... in addition to the "Virtual Pubs" and regular whatnots, I've got links to my favorite watering holes, BrewStuff suppliers, brewing software, some good personal pages, and a few Jersey-Specific sites.
