THE SCRIPT D.I.

SCRIPT CONSULTING AND FEEDBACK

For Writers or Independent Producers. Netscape users click Here!

Is your script flabby? Wimpy? Out of shape?
Is your plot hot?
Are your characters interesting?
Do you have structure problems?
Is your story visual?
How is your pacing?
Fast and furious?
Or slow like molasses in January?
Do your characters arc?
Is your description tight?
Is your dialogue snappy?

Remember that tough Drill Instructor that Lou Gossett played in AN OFFICER AND A GENTLEMAN?
His job was to turn civilian Richard Gere into a soldier tough enough to survive in combat.

Hollywood is hell, son, and the only way to survive is to develop a tough "rhino skin" and make sure your script is in tip-top shape.
A mistake may cost you your life out there. Your momma may say nice things about your script, your friends may tell you you're brilliant...

But I'll tell you the truth. It may not be pretty, but it will help you get your script into fighting shape.
You want to survive this battle, don't you?
You want to win this war, don't you?
You want to whip your script into shape, don't you?

You want the truth?

You want the truth?
Can you handle the truth?

WRITER CONSULTATIONS

I'll read your script and give you detailed, honest, constructive, notes to help you maximize your next rewrite. All feedback is technique based - designed to improve your script AND your writing.
  • Your script will be read three times - once for story, once for Big Picture notes, and once for Page-By-Page notes.
  • You'll get two sets of notes: The Big Picture which looks at the over all script, plus Page-By-Page notes that point out each individual problem.
  • Big Picture notes include feedback on Concept, First Ten Pages, Protagonist, Character Arc, Theme, Antagonist, Supporting Characters, Conflict, Structure, Pacing, Visual/Decsiption, Dialogue, Ending, and Marketability. Usually 9-10 single spaced pages!
  • Page-by-Page notes average 12-13 pages.
  • That's about 22 single-spaced pages of notes on your script!
  • Pacing breakdown of your script to identify slow spots.
  • Quick return: usually just two weeks after receipt, unless I have a writing assignment.
  • $550.00 for scripts up to 120 pages (an additional $5 per page over 120).
  • Includes any Blue Books that deal with specific problems your script may have.
  • Deep discount on second consultation on the same (rewritten) script - over one third off!

Check out the price of my competition - $600 for only one page of overview notes.

WARNING: Do not send me the first draft of your first script! That would be a waste of my time and your money. Spending 22 pages of notes going over the basics is not the best use of this service. Is it ready to show?
