![]() Race #3 Story and Photos by Joe Myers Saturday, Apr. 17 NORRCA's Paved Oval Series, getting back to the roots of R/C racing held race #3 of the Series in Encino in this "Park and Ride". The location is the regular home for the Golden State Tire Shredders. This was probably one of the funnest races I have attended in years, and reminded me of the races from nearly 15 years ago. Raphel and the Tire Shredders did a great job on making the track compatible to the OVAL cars, most of the races held here are road course touring car events. ![]()

The ROOKIE class has been started to give drivers a chance to get into paved oval racing, and try their hand. Hopefully as time goes on, this class will grow and help bring in a "new" crop of racers. NORRCA only charges 1/2 of the normal entry fee for this class, so come out and try YOUR hand and join in the fun.
