Middle Gas Mark Five
1985 - 1996
A loud, some would say drum-led, southern English band playing mainly for English ceilidh & barn dance events, at festivals and the larger country dance clubs and municipal halls round the whole of England.
Dan Quinn had been living in Brighton for some time and was finding it impossible to get home after gigs. We started to cast our nets for another tune man, and preferably NOT a melodeon player, to avoid any comparisons with The Man he "replaced". Terry Mann was a noticeable saxophonist, ex London College of Furniture (source of so many Europe influenced musicians in London and the rest of the world) and another composer: he got the "job" and still played lots of melodeon!
