HOME GAME
19 SEPTEMBER: FC ZWOLLE - TOP OSS
Friday FC Zwolle played this seasons sixth game at
home against ninth-placed team TOP Oss, FC Zwolle started very good with
a 4th minute goal by Jan Bruin, After this early goal TOP wasn't able to
'get into the game', and FC Zwolle had some other good chances, but they
were not able to score martin reynders and Sami Ristila had good chances
but failed in the execution. TOP, glad to have survived the FC Zwolle offensive,
had only few chances in the first half, but unfortunately they were able
to score twice, Roger Polman scored twice in the 38th and 44th minute.
The 1-2 score at half-time was something you would not expect after seeing
the great game play by FC Zwolle, They also started the second half perfect,
after seven minutes it was Jan Bruin again who shot the ball from outside
the penalty area in the upper corner of the goal, TOP-goalie Hoekman had
no chance. only one minute later FC Zwolle scored again. It was Sami Ristila
who scored his first goal of the season. After this goal all the fans expected
FC Zwolle to win easily, and zwolle got another few chances to raise the
score but again they weren't able to. TOP also got some opportunities and
they were able to score, In the 74th minute it was Jerry Taihuttu, who
put the 3-3 on the scoreboard. FC Zwolle tried to attack after that but
some of the players had given already most of their power, and they didn't
have enough left to make enough pressure. The two goals by Jan Bruin were
his seventh and eight goal this season, this makes him the top scorer in
the 'TOTO' division.
AWAY GAME
TOP OSS - FC ZWOLLE 1-2
An important win against one of the concurrence for a place in the play-offs. Finally Zwolle seems to get back in form, just in time for the final period, The first goal was scored by Roelofsen just before halftime. After halftime Top Oss almost was able to make the equalizer.
Top got an penalty when Wijnands pushed down Taihutu, Cornelise placed the ball well in the lowwer rightcorner, but he hit it to soft and Henk Timmer was able to reach the ball in time.
In the 68'th minute Top did score, Marco de Jong got the ball luckily and was able to put it past Henk Timmer
Just two minutes later Danny Den Ouden scored with a great shot from about 30 meters for Zwolle, an importent win that takes Zwolle up to sixth place
