HOME GAME

14 NOVEMBER: FC ZWOLLE - AZ ALKMAAR 2-0

Zwolle played much more concentrated this game than they did last week against Haarlem. But after just 4 minutes AZ could have gotten an early first goal, They were given a penalty by referee Bossen, he saw some pushing in the penaltyarea and allthough it didn't really look like a penalty it was given anyhow. Dennis den Turk took the penalty but he shot way to soft and Henk Timmer was able to get it easily.
After thirteen minutes it was Zwolle's turn to take a penalty after boudestein was taken down. Claus Boekweg did a better job as Den Turk and placed the ball nice in the lower-left corner, 1-0.
The rest of the game was very exciting with chances for both teams, Robert van der Weert came close to an equalizer but eye in eye with Henk Timmer he shot the ball on the post. On the other side of the field it was Roelofsen that spoiled a perfect chance, but his shot went way of goal.
the less time there was left the more AZ tried to force a goal, but they shouldn't have forgotten to defend because in the 73rd minute Jan Bruin was left all alone at the middle-line, with not an defender anywhere near him. So when he got the ball all he had to do was take it towards the goal and put it past the outcoming AZ-goalkeeper Moens, at exactly the right moment he lifted the ball and it went over Moens in the empty goal. After this goal Zwolle had no problems to finish the game winning. FC Zwolle is now in thirth place one point ahead of Cambuur (4th) and three ahead of Den Bosch en TOP oss(5th and 6th) Jan Bruin is now with twelve goals second in the topgoalscorerslist behind Van der Laan (Cambuur) with seventeen goals
