In 1994-95, I lived and worked in Tokyo, Japan. It was more fun than was healthy for me. I wrote some of my adventures down in a series of "Gaijin Chronicles" for Sacred City Magazine, a zine out of Seattle. The link below leads to scanned pages of one of my articles.
If you're interested in more of these articles or Japan, please contact me.
In 2002, I attended a wedding in Sardinia, and I wrote a travel piece about the island. This is not available online yet -- if interested, please contact me.
Outside of NAFTA, I've traveled to Brazil, Italy (besides Sardinia), India, Ireland, China, Thailand, Russia, the Philippines, Czech Republic, England, France, Germany, Bermuda, Israel, Jordan and the Netherlands. This travel tends to creep into my fiction all the time.
