My essay, "The Rapture, the Nerds, and the Singularity," is available in Fictitious Force #2.

In 1999, I interned at the Center for Millennial Studies at Boston University, pursuing a life-long interest in things apocalyptic. I was particularly interested in premillennialist Christian apocalyptic fiction (e.g. the "Left Behind" books) and the anti-apocalyptic idea in science fiction. I have presented papers annually at three international conferences on millennialism, and I've contribued a chapter to a forthcoming book, The End that Does: Art, Science and Millennial Accomplishment.
