Short History
Welcome to Daisy's homepage. Daisy is a 1989 Citroen 2CV6 Dolly and was built in Portugal and delivered to Lumley's Garage in Cleethorpes. But instead of being delivered to an eager customer, Daisy was pressed into work! You may not know this, but the 2CV like other Citroens, is an excellent camera car. Daisy was fortunate to help in the making of the film 'Memphis Belle' at RAF Binbrook in Lincolnshire. The car then spent the next year knocking around Cleethorpes with a guy called Moy before going back at the garage 'For Sale' again with only 2000 miles on the clock. In May 1990, I saw the car the same week that the announcement that production was to finish and after a short test drive, I bought it. Since then, I joined 2CVGB, and we've been to all the best events, London to Brighton, Humber Bridge Jam, Fill a Ferry, CCC annual rally and the International. We've also been lucky enough to visit Silverstone, the Aston Martin Factory in Newport Pagnal, and represent 2CVGB in the Autoglyn Concours at the Classic and Sportscar Show (twice).
