There are four self-catering properties: Greystones 1, Greystones 2, Cedar Cottage and The Tower. Greystones 1 and 2 were built around the turn of the century, to house the officers of "The Garrison". The Tower was built prior to 1703 as a windmill (we think) and has been put to various uses ever since (eg. watch tower gun emplacement and latterly a holiday cottage) They are located just seven minutes walk from the town, quay and nearest beaches. Each property is a short walk away from the camp shop and payphone. Groceries may be ordered in advance. The Camp-site shop is usually well stocked with the essentials, and we will open up if your arrival is outside normal shop hours. Transport of your luggage to and from the quay is available. Access to accommodation is available after 14:00, and visitors are requested to vacate by 10:00 on the day of their departure. Dogs are only permitted by prior arrangement during the periods March-June and September-October; they are not allowed at any other times. All dogs must be wearing a flea collar on arrival, and kept on a lead at alltimes, due to the prolific wildlife on Scilly.
The properties have heating in all rooms including the bathroom. A television is provided and there is a point for electric shavers. Each property is fully equipped with sheets, pillowcases, towels, bath mat and tea towels, but please bring your own beach towels. Cots and highchairs are available at no extra charge.
All main services are laid on. There are electricity meters in Greystones 1 and 2 and in Cedar Cottage, which are read when you arrive and on departure. Units consumed are charged at the Area Board's published tariff. In The Tower electricity is provided by a £1 slot meter. Each property has a garden area with garden furniture, and outside drying line.
All our units are non-smoking

The accommodation is on four levels and consists of a double bedroom at the top with a balcony giving exceptional views of the islands. Next is the sitting room with television. Both rooms are fully furnished and carpeted. On the next level down is the fully equipped kitchen with microwave. The kitchen is small, and has two "bar stool"type chairs, to the breakfast bar. The bathroom with shower, lavatory and wash hand basin is on the ground floor; entrance to which is gained down the external stone steps. The acccomodation in the "Tower" is certainly compact! The 2-3 foot thick granite walls don't allow ant thing else. However we feel this is a holiday cottage of superb character, & the views are fantastic. It can be a little damp early & late season. The Scillonian granite is very porous! & the buildin is Grade 1 listed. My paint brush hasn't stopped at the other cottages! The tower has been "done-up" as well!
