From January to March of 2000, OSKAR was transformed from it's previous owner to the Team YO! car. Here's a look at the 'in progress' pictures!
Here's what OSKAR looked like as it arrived at it's new home in January!
Of course, before we can paint it, we had to peel all of the old stickers off. We discovered in the process that without the stickers, a rally car looks like any other 17 year old beat-up car!
At the same time we were working on the cosmetics, we also did a little re-wiring! (We needed more power, so we re-wired it!)
The next decision is how to paint it. After much deliberation, we decided on this mock-up. Now it's on to get it painted!
On with the Purple! (Expertly wielding the paint gun is Colin McCleery, driver for Sierra Rallysports and AutoPaint 'Artiste'!)
"Boy, that's REALLY purple! Are you SURE this is the right color, guys?!?"
While the Purple is drying, it's on with the stickers!
