RESULTS!
Team YO! ran their second rally of the 2000 season in Park Rapids, Minnesota at the Headwaters Club Rally on May 13th. This was the team's first event in their home division, the highly competitive Central Division. Out of the 46 cars that started the rally, Team YO! pulled off a 6th place finish in Group 5, and 31st place overall.
The team had a difficult time on stages 1 to 4. We were the 35th car on the road, and by the time we ran, the loose dirt roads had been chewed up pretty well. Oskar spent a lot of time digging his way through the deep dirt that had been churned up in the corners.
After the second service, the rally headed into the Paul Bunyan State forest, where the roads were hard packed and gravel. Oskar was able to run much faster, and we made up some of the time that was lost in the earlier stages.
Our thanks go out to the Land-O-Lakes region of the SCCA for hosting a fine event, and thanks to Mark Buskirk for crewing for us! Team YO! is planning on heading back up to Northern Minnesota for their next events. The 10,000 Lakes and Paul Bunyan's Ride Club Rallys will be held on August 25-26, in conjunction with the Ojibwe Forests Pro Rally.
