Steve Wolfe's Home Page
A Short Biography
I'm married to
Dr. Andrea Wolfe
(she lets me call her "Andi"), and we have three children:
Michael,
Richard, and
Meghan.
We also have two dogs,
Darwin
and
Emma.
We had a cockatiel,
Papuli
for about 25 years, but he recently died. I've kept his page as a tribute to his birdy life.
My dad and mom, Dick and Anne Wolfe, have a very nice
Wolfe Family
web site which includes pictures of my brothers and sisters (Rick, Tim, Theresa, and Mary Lou).
I'm currently employed as a network engineer for
America Online.
Before my tenure at AOL I spent 10 years in the United States Air Force,
3 more years working as a civilian employee of the Air Force, and 2 years at
Vanderbilt University
where I was employed by the Computer Center.
My interests include amateur radio (call sign NI8W),
astronomy,
music (member of
Aisling and
The Greater Columbus Concert Band),
and
woodcarving,
I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in Computer Science (1979) from
San Diego State University
and a Master of Science degree in Computer Engineering (1985) from the
Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT).
While at AFIT I was elected to membership in
Tau Beta Pi,
the national engineering honor society.
