I am a firm believer in Hot Rodding being very much a personal thing. I really don't like the idea of a club saying that a Street Rod must have been built before 1949 to be a street rod! How crazy.

Why have a cut off date - it only marginalises the sport. In the UK the hobby is just not big enough to split. Having a cut off date restricts the potential number of different models anyone can build.

This surely limits the scope for individuality....

• Loads of event listings and the like for the USA...

• The National Hot Rod Association (USA) - loads of great Drag Racing stuff.

• Edlebrock site, this has loads of great things on it including a great history page, check it out along with the Moon site below

• If you love the 50's culture of Hot Rods and Rat Fink etc this is the place to go. Check out the history pages really a good read.

• Crower has a big name for making good equipment - its all here and more...
• Motor Books
• Your best choice for all motoring books. Lots of Hot Rod titles available. Just the phone numbers last time I looked. OK if you know what you want.
