The Stiquito Microrobot

Stiquito Robot
Stiquito is a small, simple, and inexpensive six-legged robot that has been used as a research platform to study computational sensors, subsumption architectures, neural gait controllers, emergent behavior, cooperative behavior, and machine vision. Stiquito has also been used to teach science in primary, secondary, and high school curricula.

Check out the Stiquito web page for more information on this robot.

Engineering Education

When I was a professor at the University of Arkansas, I created a program for school teachers to learn about engineering. The program provided exercises to teachers which they could use in their classrooms to show students what engineers do with their time.

Dilbert was elected the workshop mascot.

I have put several examples of workshop materials (MS Word 6.0 documents) here on the website. To see them, Click here.
