Activities during 1995-1998 have included the following: (1) Planning for a summer conference in July, 1996, held in Alfred NY (USA); (2) Development of an e-mail distribution list for Research Committee # 12; (3) Expanding the membership base by advertising widely in national political science association newsletters throughout the world; (4) Expanding the membership by advertising in relevant organizational newsletters, whose subscribers might be interested in the work of the Research Committee (hyperlinks to some of these organizations are included in a page entitled "Other Sites"); (5) Completing three edited volumes in a series by JAI Press focusing on research in the nexus between biology and politics; (6) Organizing Research Committee # 12's two panels for the 1997 Seoul IPSA meeting; (7) Constructing a home page on the world wide web; (8) Organizing two panels for the 1997 IPSA conference; (9) Planning a special meeting in conjunction with the American Political Science Association in September, 1999 in Atlanta to plan for IPSA Congress to be held in 2000.
