Lactase Pills and Drops

Remember that almost all supermarket, pharmacy, and discounter chains
carry a house brand line of lactase pills
usually costing far less and working just as well.
Both Lactaid and Dairy Ease have stopped producing their lactase drops in the U.S.
Lactaid drops are still available in Canada. A firm named Pharmax started producing them in 2008, however, You can also mail order Lacteeze drops
from Canada. See my

Note 1: As far as I can determine, all pills listed here have at least the equivalent of 1500 FCC units of lactase. That is the minimum amount I consider to be effective. 1 Lac. U. = 1 ALU = 1 FCC unit. It is more difficult to give an exact equivalence between milligrams (mg) and FCC units, but 125 mg should be sufficient as several companies list it as equal to 1750 FCC units.
