BEAT THE TIDE
There are various different objects lying on the sand on a beach; places where they belong on
the grass and rocks surrounding the beach; and a merciless tide intent upon rising up the sand
and submerging everything.
The idea is simple: before the tide engulfs all the objects on the sand, they need to be picked up
and moved to safety on the grass or rocks. However, it is not just a case of moving them to dry
land; they have to be placed in the correct groups with others like them.
Simply click on an object on the sand and, holding down the mouse button, move it to safety then
drop it by releasing the mouse button. If you drop it in the correct place (for example, put the
beach ball with the other beach balls on the grass), then it will stay there; but if it is not dropped
in the correct area it will jump back to the place from where you lifted it and you will have to try
and grab it again before the tide covers it.
The speed of the incoming tide can be varied by using the scroll bar below the game's title and
instructions.
(Unlike the other items which are grouped on the grass, the starfish is to be dropped in the rock-
pool with the other starfish - watch how it sinks after it is dropped).
This game deals with image recognition, simple logic and hand/eye co-ordination against the
clock.
