POLLY'S PROBLEM

In this game the player is required to help Polly the Baby Ladybird climb up a stick to reach her mother at the top. The stick has pieces missing from it that cause Polly's way to be blocked.

Using a collection of twig pieces from near the bottom of the screen, the player must match the correct piece to the gap in the stick.

Click the mouse on the twig piece near the bottom, while holding down the mouse button drag it to the gap in the stick and drop it (by releasing the mouse button). If it is the correct piece it will slot into place and Polly will be able to carry on to the next gap; if it is not, she will simply wait until the correct one is found. If that is the case then simply place the twig piece back with the others and pick up another one to try.

It is not necessary to position the twig piece exactly in the gap on the stick - it will automatically snap into position provided it is dropped close enough.

The twig piece will not fit the gap properly until Polly has actually reached that point, so it will not help her to try and place the pieces in advance.

This game helps with shape matching and mouse control, and boosts hand/eye co-ordination.
