You are cordially invited to the Science Museum of long Island, where science comes alive! Chartered by the new York State board of regents in 1963, SMLI is a not-for-profit, science activity center located on the Leeds Pond Preserve in Nassau County. Surf through our site and choose an After School or Holiday Program for school age children, Nursery Programs for children as young as three, or a Saturday family Workshop to learn side-by-side with your children. Come and browse in our Museum shop currently stocked with a whole new line of science-related items.
