![]() Over the past few years, I've developed a suite of Word for Windows templates to automate the writing of comic book scripts and plots. They were created for my own use, not for sale. I'm making the script templates available here, gratis, for anyone who might want to try them. To anticipate the most frequently asked question: These templates work only with the English language versions of Word for Windows 6.0, 7.0, and Word 97. They're useless, unfortunately, to users of other word processors, earlier versions of Word, or non-English versions of Word. SCRIPT95.ZIP and FSCRIPT6.ZIP automate virtually every mechanical task involved in the writing of comic book scripts. Each file also contains extensive, lavishly-illustrated (well, lots of screen shots, anyway) documentation. The major difference between SCRIPT95 and FSCRIPT6 is that the former makes use of Windows 95's long filenames.Read the installation instructions in the README.TXT fileand PLEASE print out the documentationbefore attempting to use the templates! Remember, I'm a writer, not a programmer, by profession. The time I can devote to supporting these templates is extremely limited. On the other hand, I'm always receptive to comments, suggestions, and bug reports. These templates are provided free for use by individuals. There's no shareware fee or registration required, but please make a donation in any amount to the Comic Book Legal Defense Fund if you find yourself using them regularly.
