Em
Edmondson

I live in Leeds with my son and daughter, a dog
and a cat. I spend my time between the wilds of the West Coast of
Ireland and Inner City Leeds. I have worked as a psychotherapist
with a private practice in Leeds for twenty years, and as a
trainer for much of that time; I have co-led four Selfheal
trainings with Nick Totton. I have been involved with Hakomi as a
student, teacher and trainer for fifteen years. This work has
taken me to Eire where I have co-led two Hakomi trainings and
offer regular workshops and supervision in Dublin, Tralee, Cork
and Westport.

Courses
Introduction
to Hakomi
8 Sundays in Leeds, 10.30-6.00
November 2001-June 2002
Cost: £320 (some reductions possible)
Group size: 8-10.
Hakomi is a body-oriented process therapy
developed by Ron Kurtz (USA). Its main influences are drawn from
Buddhist and Taoist principles, Reichian character theory,
gestalt and process bodywork techniques. It's a gentle, subtle
therapy style which encourages a capacity to develop mindfulness
and compassion towards our experiences. As we study the
organisation of the here and now in ourselves, some patterns
emerge which can be supported, healed and released.
