SALUKI NOTES WEEK ENDING 24th MARCH 2000

Congratulations to Harry and Pauline Kendall on Ch Gulzar Al-Mutakabbir winning the Hound Group at Crufts. It will be interesting to hear from Pauline what it was like being under the spotlights. Crufts being Crufts, it was a very long day for everyone. The BOB,DCC at Crufts, of course was Ch Gulzar Al-Mutakabbir. The RDCC Was Mrs C Norvell's Dakhilak Ajilan. BCC for her first CC was Mr & Mrs P Gorton's Al Caliph Majeda. She was born on 5th January, 1996 and her breeder was Mrs D Copperthwaite. Her sire is Al Caliphs Imparja and dam Al Caliphs Bahija. RBCC was Mrs C Mason's Asayaad Warda Bint Shamsa. Well done all.

I spoke to Roy Goodby and he said he had been given a date for his heart by-pass surgery. We all wish him good luck and hope after his recovery period that he will be back in the ring with his dogs. I heard at Crufts that Jo Webb has had to undergo some more surgery. Hopefully it will be good news this time.

Sadly we have heard that Francine Hadfield is very ill and is in the hospital. It was so nice seeing her at Crufts showing her Baghdad dog and I am sure his success has meant a lot to her. Our thoughts are with Francine and her family at this time.
