SALUKI NOTES WEEK ENDING 9 SEPTEMBER 1999

The Scottish Kennel Club held their "August" show last Sunday at the Royal Highland Showground, Edinburgh. The judge for Salukis was Mrs D Tovey. She chose for her BOB, DCC Mrs P. Kendall's Ch Gulzar Al-Mutakabbir, whom later in the day won Hound Group 4, under group judge Mrs J. Minns. RDCC was Mr & Mrs C.M. & H. V. Williams and Mrs R Redfern's El Hamrah Mehrab Khalifa (IMP). BCC, for her second CC was Mrs T. Moore's Lusaki Kara Kassya of Adhari with the RBCC to Mr A Rawson's Mumtaz Desdemona. Best Puppy was Mrs J Doney's Sedeki Kiva. Well done all.

At the Welsh Kennel Club, Ch Mumtaz Moon Magic won a second in the Champion Stakes. Nick would like to thank all the people who expressed concern and sent cards, when he tumbled in the ring. He says he is now feeling fine. Also at the same show, Mumtaz Desdemona continued her successes by winning the Junior Stakes on the day, but Zola was unable to return on the Sunday to compete for the overall winner.
