OneDIR Pro 2.2 Beta Web Page
Welcome to the OneDIR Pro 2.2 Beta Web Page!
This is the first OneDIR Pro 2.2 Beta. It is fully functional,
completely documented, and somewhat tested. All major features appear to
work fine. I am especially interested in testing the 32-bit version. The
16-bit version should be just about as rock solid as the 2.1 version. In
addition to correcting any bugs, I still have a couple of enhancements
I'm planning to make; however, I decided that now was a good time to release
the beta.
I ask only one thing. If you download the beta and test it, let me know
what you think/find. Please remember this is BETA code. Click
here to report bugs, typos, or make suggestions.
A note to potential new users: If you are looking for
a fully tested, commercial quality, DIR replacement and do not want to
mess with beta code, please check out the current 2.1
version of OneDIR Pro. The 2.1 release is very mature, offers tons
of features, and also supports Windows 95 long file names.
A note to web page authors: Feel free to add a link to
the 2.2 beta. The current beta will always be '1DIRBETA.ZIP'. However,
please do not replace your link to the current 2.1 version. Instead, if
you could simply add something like "A 32-bit beta is also available" or
"Also check out the 32-bit beta of the next release" and link to the zip
file, then I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks in advance!
OneDIR Pro is now FREEWARE! - Due to continued demands on my
time, I am indefinately putting on hold making any future enhancements
to OneDIR. As a result, I am going to make OneDIR Pro available free
until work resumes. I WILL continue to support the program via email,
however. Effective immediately I'm closing the PO BOX and will not
be taking any checks or money orders. Please disregard the instructions
distributed with the program concerning payment.
Y2K Fixes for OneDIR Pro Available - There are some minor Y2K
issues with the 2.2 beta version of OneDIR Pro. Click
here to download an updated 16-bit version of OneDIR Pro!
This is only a replacement for 1DIR16.exe. Full repackaging on OneDIR
Pro will come later. An updated 32-bit
version can be found here.
