Jan-99:Canadian Club curling in January is always chock full of competitive curling as teams are gearing up for the Bonspiel season and Playdowns for those so inclined. We also welcome curlers from other local clubs who are looking for a little extra ice time to further hone their skills.

Dec-98: This is curling for the diehards as it is so difficult to squeeze holiday shopping in between ends of curling. Events of note for December included Davis' (wtih Robert and Scott) First place in the Norfolk Men's Bonspiel, a strong showing in the first Boston Cashpiel (Bob, Dan, Rick, and Jim), and the appearance of Roger's Pickles (not for the faint-of-heart, as you could imagine).

Nov-98: Curling begins with a bang. Of course, we are always pleased to welcome back our friends from last year, but we are very encouraged to see a bunch of new Canadian Club members, some brand new to the sport (Alex, Jennifer, Roger, Trevor) and others who have curled before but not here (Scott and Dave).

15-Oct-98: With much anticipcation, it is announced that the Canadian Club's curling season will start on Monday, November 2. Also, the first set of bonspiel invitations are posted below. This is not a list of all the bonspiels this season, just a list of one's for which we have invitations. For a more complete list of all the bonspiels see the USA Curling Site or the Grand National Curling Club Site

11-Aug-98: The Canadian Club of Boston's Annual Meeting and Summer Dinner Party was held at The Country Club. As has been tradition, for the golfers there was a round on the very challenging course followed by a round of drinks. For the non-golfers, cocktails and hors d'oevuers led the way to a wonderful dinner. As to the business at hand, a mellower crowd than in the past years heard reports from the Chairman, Treasurer, Permanent Fund and Scholarship Fund. Detailed minutes and reports are being mailed to all Canadian Club Members. We are hoping to organize a Winter Party (no meeting, just merriment) to get the whole Club together.
