Do we paint planes for ...
.. esthetics? .. advertising? .. entertainment?
.. metal protection? .. chemical resistance? .. radar reflection?
These are all reasons why people want to use our Flight Proven Finishes.
The Randolphs have been involved in aviation for more than a half
century and have sold paints for planes from World War II pilot trainers
through the space shuttles.
Planes like this high performance military aircraft are generally painted with epoxy primers and polyurethane topcoats.
Rand-O-Poly System
Polyurethane coating system for use on dacron fabric.
RAND-O-POLY SYSTEM FAA-STC Approved
Randolph Products Co. is proud to introduce our "state of the art" five (5) coat urethane coating system designed for use on dacron fabric. This is the easiest to use and fastest system on the market today.
1. Rand-O-Poly Urethane Adhesive - used for initial fabric adhesion to structure, surface tape application, and affixing of drain grommets, inspection rings, etc.
2. Rand-O-Poly Flexible Gray Urethane Primer - applied by spray for fabric fill and ultraviolet protection. This primer has a built in flex agent and an easy mix ratio of two to one (2:1) primer to catalyst. The pot life of the mixture is six hours.
3. Ranthane color topcoat - a “Flight Proven” polyurethane finish designed specifically for its superior gloss, the "wet look", color retention, abrasion resistance, flexibility, and chemical resistance. Easy one to one (1:) mix ratio with catalyst avoids complicated mixing procedures.
All of the "Flight Proven" finishes in this system are manufactured by Randolph Products Co. to assure compatibility, quality control, conformity, and total customer support. The Rand-O-Poly system is FAA-STC approved on Ceconite fabrics and is original equipment (OEM) on various production aircraft. This new system is lowest in cost, easiest to use, and backed by 64 years of Randolph Products experience in the production of the highest quality aircraft coatings. The RAND-O-POLY SYSTEM compliments our current product line of aircraft dopes, lacquers, enamels, primers, polyurethanes, and many other of our “Flight Proven” products.
