Rice and Honey Documentary Video

The effect of the ethnic conflict on the children of Sri Lanka

American pediatrician as a volunteer for Medecines Sans Frontieres (Doctors without Borders) in charge of pediatrics at General Hospital Batticlaloa felt a documentary portraying the effect of the ethnic conflict on children would bring an important message. After his return to the U.S., a director and cinematographer returned to Sri Lanka spending most of their time in Batticaloa interviewing the children. A 53 minute documentary was produced. It has been shown widely on U.S. and Canadian T.V. film festivals and museums. Although it was made in Sri Lanka it's message is universal, showing what the horror of ethnic conflicts have done to children in many parts of the world.

The exhibit and video are available free of charge to appropriate institutions.
