My wife's maiden name is Wertman. Through the
internet, several Wertman researchers found each other and
planned a researcher's meeting for 1-2 July, 2000 and again for
17-19 August 2001 in Allentown, PA, and 16-18 August 2002 in
Ashland, Ohio, 15-17 August 2003 in Lockport, NY, and 13-15
August 2004 in Danville, PA. along with a Wertman family reunion.
Between thirty five to fifty five people attended each meeting
and reunion. They formed the "Wertman Family Association" and
have toured Wertman homestead and cemetery sites. I have scanned
a few
pictures and are now available through the Wertman Family
Association web site with links available here. The official

researcher's meeting and family reunion will be held in mid
August 2005 in Bethel, Berks County, PA.
