All structures are scratch-built using .060 styrene covered with Holgate and Reynolds brick sheeting. The walk-in area can be seen in the lower righthand corner of this photo. Lightweight covers containing roof details will cover the open walk-in area during photo sessions and for open house display. The covers are stored under the layout during normal operations.

The power plant is on the left and the Viscose #2 Processing Building and Viscose #2 Warehouse are on the right while various support buildings (machine shop, pipe shop, and stores) are located between. The gray building in front of the power plant is for polution control. The gray building along side of the power plant is the coal shaker. Coal drops from hoppers into the pit below the coal shaker. A series of moving buckets transfer coal up near the top of the power plant to be stored in bunkers until fed into the furnaces to generate steam.

This view of the American Viscuse plant is toward the starway. Four, 3 foot square roofs/covers, are seen here for show and tell. They are removed and stored under the layout during operated sessions.
