In December 1996, Addison Wesley Developers Press published a book I wrote, entitled Inner Loops, concerning 80x86 family code optimization theory and practice (with a number of common real-world algorithms given as examples).
My name is Rick Booth. I live in Teaneck, NJ, just outside New York City. I would be glad to hear from any readers with questions and/or comments regarding the book or the general topics of optimization and algorithms. I intend to publish interesting questions and answers on this page as they may arise, so if you don't want to see your particular (unattributed) question published, please so note in your correspondence.
For the moment, most of the book-related errata to report are those mentioned on the last page of the book regarding the CD-ROM. Entitled "Test Program Alert", the errata concern one missing (but replaceable) file and two programs with minor glitches (far outside the inner loops) that weren't discovered until after the disks were pressed.
