My site is of  general interest for anybody who is interested in catching a Trout or Salmon or just general fishing in New Zealand.

I will be maintaining this site in my spare time but I will do my best to keep all the facts & figures up to date. I would like to point out at this stage that this site is for information purposes only.

I'm not the best Trout or Salmon fisherman in the world but I am addicted to the sport and I am fortunate that I live in one of the few countries left in the world where Trout & Salmon & fishing stocks have not really been decimated over the last 100 years as in other countries . Fishing in New Zealand is a fraction of the price of that in other countries such as Australia, Scotland , Ireland, USA & Canada. Often referred to as "Gods Own" Paradise with our unpolluted Lakes and Rivers, fresh air and open spaces. New Zealand has much to offer the visiting Angler.
