Sunday 19 October 1997
from 10 am. until 5 pm, and a second time on
Sunday 3 October 1999
Several activities are organised on this day, guided tours through the breweries, tasting of beer and more.
In 1997 and 1999 a regular busservice was arranged for, every half hour, starting at the railwaystation of Halle. Trains from Brussels (the capital of Belgium and Europe) arrived every half hour. A bus stopped at every participating brewery, about every 30 minutes.
Tickets for the bus could be bought at every stop and they costed about 100 Belgian Francs and then you could use a bus for the entire day.
The first Toer de Geuze 1997 went as follows (in both directions):
Starting at the railwaystation of Halle, however you can start at every point you want, it goes to Lembeek (Boon)
- Gooik (De Cam)
- Wambeek (De Troch)
- Itterbeek (Timmermans)
- Vlezenbeek (Lindemans)
- Beersel (Drie Fonteinen) and back to
the railwaystation of Halle.
You can do the Toer De Geuze yourself, because there is a brochure which describes the
entire tour. If you want to visit a brewery or a blender, contact them in advance.
