* Production First Software original designs and implementations exclude regularization, compromises, or "fudging" which jeopardizes design accuracy, except for specific low resolution designs.

* True italic designs for Armenian, Cyrillic, Georgian, Greek, Latin, and other alphabets, not just "inclined."

* Basic (K1) pair kerning supplied for Armenian, Cyrillic, Extended Cyrillic, Greek, Extended Greek, Latin, and Extended Latin, including accented characters used in those alphabets (except monospaced typefaces).

* Four levels of kern pair data available in typefaces (K0 to K3), with K3 kern data available in various type colors.

* Additional supplied alternate characters and characters outside the Unicode character set supported.

* At least six Latin f-ligatures† available under all versions of Windows and UNIX (if appropriate for the typeface) with ordinary software applications and no font change.

(Some Production First Software typefaces have as many as 42 additional Latin ligatures outside the Unicode character set. Additional Arabic, Armenian, and Cyrillic ligatures are also supplied.)

* All popular platform format versions (DOS, Windows, Macintosh, and UNIX; PostScript and TrueType are included in standard shrink-wrap retail (non-OEM) packages, except where noted.

* Font package architecture allowing use on the most basic systems in 1-byte access, but which can be utilized in 2-byte access as compatible applications and operating systems become available.
