The Members' Stand

 Member's Stand c.1936 pic
The Members' Stand with added seating, mid-30s
The original Members' Stand was a miniature, but even more luxurious version, of the Main Stand, with a similar cantelevered roof. There were formal ornamental gardens behind it, with constantly changing floral displays, and fine lawns. It boasted two top-class restaurants, and three elegant bars.

In 1936 an extra tier of seating was added to cope with the new sport's growing number of wealthy patrons, although this destroyed the harmony of design of the two principal stands.
