A team from Sussex Springers Trampoline Club recently took part in the South East Regional Grade 6 competition at Gillingham. This was the first Grade 6 competition of the year and for several of the Springers it was their first competition ever. Christopher Savory was the club’s star this time out, taking 2^nd place in the Under 11 boys section. Our competitors in the Under 9 Girls section, Daisy Marchant and Maddy Heath, came 24^th and 26^th in a very large section and they also took 4^th place in the team competition. Kaylie Mitchell and Sheniece Pollitt came 12^th and 17^th in another large section, the Under 11 Girls, while our Under 13 Girls, Chelsey Pierce (15^th), Melissa Ellett (16^th), Chantelle Mitchell (21^st) and Lauren Young (23^rd) were 9^th in the team competition. The club’s other representative, Rebecca Young, came 7^th in the Under 18 Girls.

This was another good day out and an opportunity for some of the jumpers to get used to the atmosphere at competitions. Everyone enjoyed themselves and the performances, particularly of the younger ones, some of whom were up against competitors 3 years older than them, means the club’s future is in good hands.
