Welcome to the Sussex Springers Introduction Page!

This is your starting point for information on the club.

Formed in the spring of 2001, the club competed under the name of Burgess Hill Trampoline Club for the first 6 months of our life. Eventually we decided that a snappy name was needed - if only to compete with our most local rivals Sussex Martlets and Gatwick Flyers. One of our leading lights is Keith Broadley, a local Dog Trainer, and he came up with the very apt title "Springers". To go with this, a bit of alliteration seemed appropriate so "Sussex Springers" was born.

The club has 7 qualified coaches at the moment. Stella Paul is qualified to Senior Club Coach standard and Phil Comber is also a Senior Club Coach (albeit with a lot less experience than Stella!). Jackie Thomas is qualified as a Trampoline Coach. Laura Pierce qualified as a Trampoline Coach about 3 years ago, Alan Pierce is qualified to Club Coach level, completing his course in March 2005, Kathryn Hall qualified as a Trampoline Coach in August 2004 and Neil Garrett joined the club at the end of 2004 already qualified to Trampoline Coach level and has since qualified as a Club Coach, also in March 2005. Stella and Laura have also taken the Special Needs Coaching module. Carol Comber, Keith, Alan and Jeff Paul have all taken the Computer Recording course as well. Stella is now a County level judge and our other qualified judges are Carol, Stephanie Paul, Wendy Orlando and Laura, all at Club Judge level. A number of our other volunteers have quite a bit of experience with Marshalling, particularly Lynda Heath and Sharon Beard.

You can find our competition record here, a bit about who’s who in the club, or investigate our training sessions . If you want to know more about the rules and regulations governing Trampolining, you can find those and the aims and objectives of the club are also outlined elsewhere on the site.
