Cycle Camping in France (Burgundy)

12 - 28 June 1999

• TOUR DESCRIPTION: Cycle camping tour in the famous wine producing area of Burgundy, riding through the wooded hills of the Morvan Regional Park, visiting historic abbeys and chateaux, and passing through medieval towns and villages.  The terrain will be moderately lumpy.  This tour is for experienced riders capable of carrying all of their camping gear 40-50 miles/day, although multiple fixed centres during the fortnight will allow for unladen riding many days.  Transport from the UK will be via the European Bike Express (coach plus cycle trailer) outward to Auxerre and returning from near Lyon. Cost should be about £280.  This will include the Bike Express fare, campsite fees, travel insurance, detailed route sheets and enthusiastic companionship, but no meals.
   

• BOOKING STATUS:  As of the date this page was written (see below) we have a group of 20 booked.  Since we had initially requested only 20 places on the European Bike Express, any further bookings must be subject to our ability to get further EBE places.  If you want to have the tour details and booking form sent, please let us know as soon as possible, and we will send you the e-mail versions.
   

Republic of Ireland -- Northwest Coast

10 - 26 September 1999

• TOUR DESCRIPTION: Emerald Isle Meander. A moving-on tour exploring Ireland's northwest coast from Donegal through County Mayo and Connemara to Galway. There will be breathtaking coastlines, impressive mountains and ruined castles amid dramatic scenery. We will be staying in B&Bs, guesthouses and hotels. We expect to cover 40-60 miles/day in undulating countryside. Transport from the UK will be via the Yorkshire BikeLiner (coach plus cycle trailer) outward to near Sligo and returning from near Galway. Cost is expected to be in the range of £500-600, to include the BikeLiner fare, accommodation, breakfasts, travel insurance, detailed route sheets and enthusiastic companionship.
   

• BOOKING STATUS:  The group size will be limited to 19 or 20 by the capacity of the coach.  As of the date this page was written (see below) we have 18 bookings, so the tour is nearly full.  If you want to have the tour details and booking form sent, please let us know as soon as possible, and we will send you the e-mail versions.
