Ontario Independence League Flag

A Statement of General Principles of the Ontario Independence League.

For the peace, order and good government of the Dominion of Ontario we put forth this
statement of general principles,

1.) We believe, above all, in peaceful, democratically achieved Independence, we believe that
Ontario is a nation in all but name and will be the successor to today's Canada and we believe
we
should put all our energy and strength towards our goal, Sovergenity and Independence.

2.) We believe in loyalty, loyalty to the Monarchy, loyalty to Ontario and loyalty to our ancestors
and fellow citizens.

3.) We believe in Democracy, in representation by population, in one man one vote, in a
government responsible to the citizens, a government that is a servant of the people not their
master.

4.) We believe in Equality. we believe that all people deserve to be treated equally, no matter
who they are, where they come from or what they believe. We believe in equality for all and
special treatment or status for none.

5.) We believe in Justice, we believe that all people are innocent until proven guilty, we believe
that all people should be equally under the law, we believe the law should be just and we believe
that convicted criminals should be punished for their crimes and victims should be recompensed.

6.) We believe in our history, in our Loyalist roots, our Judeo-Christian Heritage and our
Democratic and Monarchical traditions. We believe the nation is a covenant between the past
and the present, between our ancestors and ourselves and between our history and our destiny.

7) We believe in our future, we believe that we, as a nation, with a belief in ourselves, can
overcome all difficulties, meet all challenges and build an Ontario worthy of those who
bequeathed it to us and worthy of bequeathing to those who will follow after us.

8) We believe in our nation, we believe in its history, its values, its people and its destiny, we
believe that as a united , loyal Dominion we have nothing but a bright future to look forward to.

 A Statement on Language.

We believe that the language of Ontario is now and has since its founding been English.
We believe that everyone should be free to use their native tongue in personal transactions
but that the language of Government should be English. We believe that any citizen who
can not speak English should have every opportunity to learn it, for only through English,
the defacto language of our nation, can that citizen fully take advantage of all our society
has to offer. We do not believe that any language is superior to any other, all people should be
free to use any language they wish, but that because of our history, heritage and
present day reality English should be and is the language of the Dominion of Ontario.
