Oakwood Data Products Ltd. was formed in 1978 and the company's brief then was to supply a range of Continuous Computer Stationery to a relatively new and immature market place populated by Main Frames, Mini-Computers and Visible Record Computers - the 'PC' had not been developed at this time and input was often still via punched cards and storage was on paper tape and magnetic tape or in the case of visible record computers, on cards with magnetic stripes on them. How things have changed! These days most companies have a PC but despite continuing rumours to the contrary, the paperless office has not yet arrived and the laser printer has not after all made pre-printed stationery redundant. The Business Forms market has never been more busy or more competitive.

With the increasing sophistication of the computer systems that companies now use, the business forms supplier has had to develop ever more sophisticated designs and production techniques.
