New pitch and club facility:
The Club has announced that it
is to support the bid for a new facility at the St Crispin Hospital site at
Duston. The developers, Wilcon Homes, have agreed in principle to hand
over a piece of land for an artificial pitch and club house.
Now the real work must begin to
cost out this development and to attract large amounts of funding.

Peru Qualify - with the help of Lions star Oscar Pacheco
Oscar has returned triumphant
from his first foray into international hockey. Selected for Peru, he had
to pay his own way, accommodation and kit. The Club and its members all
pitched in to help finance this trip ... and now he has to go back later this
summer to play in the South American games against such formidable opponents as
Argentina!
Lions 3rd XI Gain Promotion
Whilst the 1st XI just missed
out on their promotion, the Clubs 3rd XI in just its 2nd year have clinched a
place in the First Division - East.
Gypsies invade us for the third
time this season:
Gypsies moved back on to the Kings Heath site this week (w/c 13/03/2000). They took over the entire car park causing one training session to be suspended. The 1st XI match for Saturday 18/03/2000 was moved to Daventry. All other games took place as normal although some of the camp youngsters proved a little troublesome.
They have now moved on and
Northampton Borough Council have done a stirling job to clean up the site in
record time - you would hardly know that they were there!
