Parforce Horns

Jim R wanted to learn what a parforce horn is. Basically, most hunting horn players chase after deer in the forest. This of course requires much practice, not only of the instrument, but of your horseback riding technique. As a result, some players prefer to chase after deer in the more convenient surroundings of a golf course. It is true that the deer are harder to find, but you are also much safer when you trade your horse in for a motorized golf cart. And, of course, you trade your hunting horn in for the aptly named parforce horn. The technique of the instrument was brought to perfection by Giovanni "Tiger" Punto. The instrument is held in two hands, using an interlocking grip, and it has a larger bell than the traditional hunting horn. The larger bell rotates less during collisions with notes, resulting in greater range and accuracy. Despite this, missed notes are inevitable, and it is considered good form to replace any divots resulting from clams.

As an expert in the physics of musical instruments, I am somewhat skeptical of players who insist that parforce horns play better with graphite leadpipes. I think that if you keep your chin flat and your left arm straight, then you won't be tempted to waste money on such "improvements."
