My name is Donald Lee. I am currently the MS/HS music teacher at LAS. I happened upon the reunion website and thought everyone might like to know that 2006 was the 50th anniversary of the school. LAS is having a celebration on December 1, 2007 at the school. All alumni are invited back for a visit. I presume there will be information about the event posted on the school website as we get closer to the event.
All the best,
Donald Lee

I wrote before and gave Someone this info, but that was back in Oct. 2002, and things change as Time moves along!
Rynda McKinney married Pete Christensen in June 1967. They lived for many years in Farmington, NM, then several more in Orem, Utah. Now they are in Madison, a suburb of Nashville, TN. They raised a lovely family of 6 daughters, one of whom was killed in an auto accident back in Sept. 1995. The rest are all married, with children, and scattered from Seattle, WA; SLC, UT; Farmington, NM; and Nashville, TN. Rynda's current email address is: Rynda.Christensen@HCAhealthcare.com
Dari Lynne McKinney married Norman Davis in June 1970. They have always lived in the Wash. D.C. area. Norman will soon be retiring after many years' service with the U.S. Navy as a mechanical engineer,--working on various submarine projects. They currently live in Huntingtown, MD,--about 40 miles SE of Wash. D.C., on the Calvert Co., peninsula, near the Chesapeake Bay. Norman and Dari Lynne had a son, Jared, and dau., Rachel. Jared is married to Christine and they have 3 young sons and a dau. Rachel has a Master's degree in psychology and works in Social Services for the state of MD. She is currently living with her parents. Jared and family also live nearby. Dari Lynne's email address is: nddavis4@comcast.net. Dari has worked many years as a medical transcriptionist.
For those who may remember our other daughters, Debra and Kenna,--Debra married Allen Henrie and still lives in Price, Utah with her family (one son is married and is in SLC, Utah). Her email address is: henrie130@emerytelcom.net
Kenna married Johnathan Onoman and lives in Taylorsville, a suburb of SLC, with her family (one dau. and 2 sons.) Her email address is: k.onoman@comcast.net
Our son, Bruce McKinney, who was born in Lahore in Feb. 1963, lives in the SL valley with his family. He married Richelle Dunn; they have 2 daus. and 2 sons. (Another baby son died a few days after his birth in Dec. 2003.)
As for a short update on ME: After my first husband, Ken McKinney, died of a sudden heart attack in Aug. 2002, I continued to live in Price, Utah for awhile. I'd been working Online with 3 different businesses, and via one of them, in a Chat Room, met Ronald Alexander, a widower then living in Destin, FL, on the panhandle of the state. He had been born and raised near Cleveland, Ohio, but in 1951 he and his wife moved down to Texas, and settled between Houston and Galveston. He was a bldg. contractor for over 40 years there, plus he worked in real estate another 10 years. When his wife passed away from a stroke in April 2002, he sold out everything and moved up to Destin, FL, to live with his son and wife. After writing over 300 emails to each other, also exchanging pics, and phone calls from Nov. 2002 to mid-Jan. 2003, we decided to meet. So I flew down to FL, and stayed in the large house of Ronald's son, while we became better acquainted. We already knew we seemed to be compatible, lonely, and ready for new Life's experiences.
But it didn't take us more than a few HOURS to decide to be married! We were then married on Valentine's Day, 14 Feb. 2003, over in Ft. Walton Beach, a few miles west of Destin. The "Interesting" part of the whole situation was informing my daus. and son, who thought I had gone to Florida to visit some "old friends!" But not many "eggs hit the Fan," and both Rynda and Dari and their husbands were able to travel down for our wedding. 3 weeks later we flew out to Utah to meet the rest of my children, pick up my car, MORE clothes and assorted other Stuff. All my children, grandkids and great grandkidlets love "Ronny" as he is a very kind, caring man. We are extremely happy and know that a Higher Power brought us together, as without modern Technology we would never have met!
We ended up also seeing 3 of Utah's Natl. Parks in the southern part of the state, and even driving out to Calif. to meet my brother and other relatives, from Portola (50 miles north of Lake Tahoe) to Sacramento, the S.F. Bay area, and up the coast for 100 miles. We eventually returned to Florida, after traveling via Colorado, NM, Texas (seeing some of Ronald's old friends around Houston), LA, MS, and AL.
Each summer we have driven back out to Utah to visit my children, while Rynda and Dari have flown or driven down here to Panama City Beach to visit us. Our Utah "excursions" have entailed over 4,000 miles round trips each year, as we explore other states, other scenic places, other Natl. Parks in various states as well.
For reasons which I won't go into here, we decided to settle over in Panama City Beach, 40 miles east of Destin. It is a lovely, resort type of area, and our house is about a mile from the beach. The warm waters of the Gulf of Mexico are blue-green, the sands are pure white like snow, and many tourists are attracted down here from the northern states all year around. This whole 23 mile long island is called the Emerald Coast.
I keep in touch with Wells and Donna Corliss, "Dee" Flook, Hal and Ila Bishop, and other couples which students may not remember because they had no children in Lahore. If anyone has any questions, you may write me here: Carol99@knology.net I've enjoyed reading updates on many of you I still remember, and continue to marvel at the myriads of your Life's directions, experiences and memories which are in this WebSite!
Best Wishes to everyone!

I periodically search the Internet for my last name and came across this website. Except much to my surprise the name listed was my older brother, Mark, who was only in Lahore from July-August of 1968. He left quite an impression I gather.
This is Vicki Vestrich. I attended LAS from 1966 - 1969 (6th-8th grades) as well as KAS (Karachi) in 1965, AISK (Kabul) 58-62. I am still in regular contact with Betsey (Boyce) Emory who lives in Tennessee. My mother, Dolores Vestrich, has recently become friends with Helen Carr, mother of twins Danny and Belinda Carr. My mom and Helen did not know each other during the years we lived in Lahore. My father, Alan Vestrich, who worked for USAID, passed away in December 1996 from kidney cancer.
I am married with two children ages 10 and 16. After 3 years in Los Angeles and 17 years in Falls Church, Virginia we moved to Balitmore in 2002.
I have deep and fond memories of my years in Lahore. Of course the middle school years would be seared in anyone's memories no matter where one attended school! In the spring when
On a sad note I can update the LOST list. Glenn Burgess is deceased. I don't know the exact year but it was in the early 80's. He had completed medical school and was a practicing physician before he passed away. I believe his sister Leslie is also deceased. Their mother, Marilyn, died around 1979 from breast cancer. My family was good friends with the Burgess's in Lahore and later when they too lived in the D.C. area.

Does anyone remember me? I am a college professor now in South Carolina. I have fond memories of you guys. I would love to hear from you.
I'm looking for Maria Barutski, mom of Linda and Mereika. I think they left Lahore around 1988.
Please change my email address to Ccstab@juno.com.
When is the next reunion? I hope you all are doing great!
Love to all, (Dr) Cindy Stabile
I am Valérie van Rooij, attended LAS in my 6th - 8th grade in the late 80's - the same class as Theresa Stabile, Cara Lenortavage, Sarah, Gisa Schutze, Bojana Pandurevic, Faisal Ghous. I was the Dutch girl.
I saw Keith Carlsson looking for me, "Keith, I wrote you and hope to be in touch soon!"
As to me, I am very very happily married to Edu living in Cancun, Mexico with our two enlightened daughters and expecting our third!
Ciao!

Ive been hoping to get in touch with a good friend of mine from the good old LAS days, Shahbano Afzal. I would love to hear from her. But ofcourse, anyone who remembers me or would like to get in touch is more than welcome to email me. I really enjoyed my years at LAS. Of course, many others came and went in the three and a half years we were in Lahore, but they are some of the best
memories of my life.
Jill, Jacquie and John all live in South Carolina, mid-state near Camden, where my parents retired. We lost both parents
2 years ago. I live in Chapel Hill NC and Jeannie lives in Asheville, just a few miles from the Blueridge Parkway.
I am a nurse instructor by preparation and also a family nurse practitioner. My yen for the overseas life led me to spend
2 years on the Navajo Reservation and 2 years in Cairo with Project Hope. Eventually, I just wanted to stay here in the
US and help our people.
I hear from my sister Jacquie that Carol Tipton was in touch through the My Classmates website. Carol, if you read this,
get in touch please.
Please let me hear from friends. Susan susanstrong@bellsouth.net
My sister, Ivy L. Sanderson, attended high school in Lahore from 1967-1969
and graduated in 1969. Ivy passed away in January 1998 from complications
due to multiple sclerosis. A few years after graduating from Lahore
American High School, Ivy met her future husband, a U.S. Foreign Service
officer, while visiting our parents in Khartoum, Sudan. They married in
Khartoum in 1975 and later settled in Falls Church, Virginia. At the time
of her death, Ivy left two children, Alex and Stephanie.
I saw the school only once, when my parents and I drove down from
Islamabad for Ivy's graduation day. I was 6 years younger than Ivy and
attended the International School, which was then in Rawalpindi.
Best wishes,

some old friends once again.

We all have our own memories but one that has struck me lately was when the
local ammunition dump blew up. Can you remember this?
I remember it was show and tell and Paul Domingus was invited to
speak to the class since he had just returned from the States. There was
suddenly a distant thunder clap and then the concrete floor began to roll
and wave as though someone had picked it up at one end and flipped it. Of
course this was followed by an ear piercing explosion and all of us 3rd
graders had no other thought but to run. I think we ran some way into the
trees before Mrs Goldman shouted at us to stop.
Any further memories or an explanation of what had really happened would
clear up this mystery.
With many thanks
Jane

Our family, Velez-Franceschi, lived in Lahore from 1978 - 1982, we left the country upon my graduation. My siblings,
Jennie (class of 83) is living in Fairfax, Virginia, and brother Eddie (class of 84) lives in Maryland. My stepdad
(Lester Velez) passed away in 1993. He worked as a US Diplomat, and was involved in the school as the PTA president. My
mom (Dr. Amparo Velez) taught Spanish at the school for the duration of our tour in Pakistan.
So, anyone out there recognize any of us, by all means get in touch with me and I will update you and give you the e-mails
for either my brother or sister. And if you ever come vacationing to Cancun (or the Yucatan peninsula), it would be lovely
to see you. We move around every two years or so, my husband of 16 years, Ricardo Riquelme works for Marriott
International. We have a four year old son named Stephan (he was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina). We also lived in
Quito, Ecuador. So, anyone out there wanting info. or contacts on any of these three countries, do not hesitate to get in
touch. We have lived in Cancun now for almost two years, a month shy. So, hopefully we will be moving somewhere else by
early next year..............
Hugs and kisses and I hope to hear from some of you.

I'll never forget, and glad I was gone before it was my turn!). I used to sit next to Fred Flook in class and remember
him always with his head in his desk eating peanutbutter sandwiches. My bestest friend at school there was Mary McFarland
(does anyone know where she is?), and Pepe Norton - sadly I see he's deceased. I'll have to tell my sister about this site
because she's the "memory" of the family (I'm sure she remembers her birth!) and she'll be blissed at all the familiar
names. A couple of people spring to mind. The Gamble Twins, Julie and Janet, of course Fred Flook, Ali (I know there
were 1000s of them). My father used to manage The Faletti's Hotel while we lived in Lahore, after being headhunted from
the Intercontinental Hotel in Karachi (when Oberoi was sent packing in 67). Would love to hear from anyone who remembers
me, probably better than I remember them. Have lost my LAS Yearbook (one BIG regret with all the travel) and would

I just returned from my first trip back to the Indian subcontinent in 40+ years! Although I didnt make it across the
border to Lahore, I was in Delhi, Agra, and Rajasthan. It brought back so many memories and it is good to know that the
soul of South Asia has not changed. So many things were the same! I was there during the wonderful cricket matches
between Pak and India - the detente that developed just from the friendly sport rivalry was incredible! the local papers
were full of nothing else, with wonderful things to say about the Pakistani hosts. There was also much press about
encouraging tourism once more to Kashmir and news about the opening of the more southerly border crossing in Rajasthan.
So promising! I can't wait to get back -- and this time to Pakistan and Kashmir!

I attended LAS from Kindergarten (1970) - 9th grade (1979). So many
memories! I remember that big hill that we loved
to race our matchbox cars down through the roots until the administration
decided we were
getting too dirty and leveled it. I can remember long hot afternoons at the
pool or playing soccer after school. The cold thirst quenching RC colas from
Surti.
The exploring and trouble we got into as we climbed on to the roof, found
every closet and hidden room in
that old house. The trips to Delhi, Islamabad, and Karachi on assorted
sports
teams. We never won but we always thought we had a chance and our spirit
was never failing. The trip to Kabul for the multimedia convention when we
were caught in the middle of a coup and had to wait it out and then travel
by Bus back to Pakistan. The murals we painted to brighten things up.
Working on the Alif Laila book bus. The halloween carnivals where putting
the boys in Jail and getting yourself and girlfriends out added to all the
emotional angst of those adolescent years. The science club trips were
amazing experiences not only for the culture and history that one learned
but the bonding that occurred between friends who spent so much time with
each other. As so many others have said its hard to explain what the
experience was like but it was profound and a wonderful place to grow up.
I'm now in Boston. I'm an Obstetrician/Gynecologist and I teach residents
and medical students at Harvard. I've been married for 11 years and have a

my dad, Bert Durst, as the principal of the American school at Tarbela (69-71) He passed away on March 20, 2003 at the
age of 81. I will never forget the day he came home from his school in LA and asked, " How would you like to spend 2
years in Pakistan?" We said "Sure, where is it?" We were always glad that we went. After we returned to the states he
kept working for a few years but then retired early. He had a whole second life that included a renewed interest in
Japan, a career as a movie extra, (he made videos with Sammy Hager and Lou Rawls), a docent at the South Coast Botanical
Gardens and lots more travels. He and my Mom spent thier 50th anniversary in India. After mom died he moved to Stockton
Ca. where I live with my husband and two boys. We had a good year together before he died suddenly of congestive heart
failure. He always remembered his friends from Pakistan and our great adventures there with great fondness. My husband
works with a fellow who grew up in Gazi, which was the Pakistani town next to the Dam. He still has family there and says
that Tarbela is still being used to house Afghani refugees. The world continues to get smaller and smaller...Becky Durst Wooten

It was great when i came across this site by chance. I recognize lot of
names when i went through the messages. This reminded me of good old days
when the sun use to shine and every morning was awaited to go to LAS. All
those teachers and staff who was not only our teacher, mender but our friend
and guide.I believe they guided us through all those times of fun and joy
and enjoyment for the realities of today. They were the greatest for me and
for my then classmates and friends, and for the rest of the school pupils.
They were the guiding lights for us. When i compare the teachers or friends
of our times with that of my kids, I feel sorry for them for they don't
enjoy the same old good times and friendships that we had.We had a pure time
free of pollution of today of prejudices, interior motives and formalities.
We had great times even without money at times, and very little but precious
times that we use to get from our parents whom we had lot of repect and
praise for. Las was the greatest school with great teachers and great
pupils. They may have not been great success but they were the greatest
students who were also in return respected by the teachers. We learned a lot
from the then teachers who taught us the lessons of life and how to succeed
within ourselves i.e. Mrs.Akmal,Col.Hassan,Mr.Frank Gellespie "Mr.G." who
was our friend and our teacher, coach and everything that one wants at that
age of time.Today, all the three that i mentioned above may not be in this
world but they shall always live in our hearts and minds for as long as we
live!!!!! and my salutes to all those who are alive.May they live long!!
I am in touch with lot of friends i.e.Tehseen Khakwani,Amir Malik,Ghais Mela
Danny Choudry the scoundral and lot many others who are here in Lahore with
me but i would like to get in touch with all the rest of the student of Las
who were either in my class or with me or knew me to fresh my memories of
Las including the teachers and the Las staff!!!!!
Aaha! at last i feel alive again and all those memories that were put a-back
for so many years after the graduation in 81 have come back to me and feel
young once again, and nostalgic of the past in Las.

it is great. I was known as Bobby Amoureux and I am the Class of 72. We
attended Jan. 1964 to May 1975. Which is 4th and 5th grade. We flew into
Lahore Christmas Eve 1963 and our parents, Bob and Jane, signed us(Ray,
Bill and I) up for school right after New Years. Ray was in 2nd and 3rd
and Bill was in K and 1st. I have great memories of Lahore and the
school. I had a great 5th grade teacher. I really enjoyed the Scout
Troop I belonged to which was supported by the school and the parents. I
remembered the train trip to Manhglah( I think I butchered the spelling)
Dam that MK was constructing and competing with the other Scout troop
there. I remembered the Scout Master picking up all the switch blades we
bought at a train stop. I was only 11 and didn't buy one. The
Scoutmaster couldn't believe I didn't buy one because every body else
did. On one camp out one evening we made some dice from an apple
somebody brought. We were getting ready to do some gambling in our tent
when one of the Scout leaders broke up our game and I was scared he was
going to tell my Dad. On another Scout outing we made a bike trip to a
park that had a big tree full of big bats. I learned how to swim that
summer in the school pool and also took reading in summer school.
My wife and I live in Boise, Idaho and we have five children, 1
grandson, 1 son in law and a 27 year old marriage. You all may

Welcome back to Jim Schwartz ('66), who returned on
November 4th and wrote: On October 25 - 27 a reunion of ex-LAS students was held in Frederick, MD.
32 "kids" came from all across America to make the weekend event a rousing
success. The aim of the reunion was to gather together as many former
students that were in Lahore from 1960 - 1966. All classes from 1964 - 1970
were well represented.
The weekend affair started with a buffet dinner in a 60s oriented restaurant
quickly followed by a gathering in one of the hotel's meeting rooms that had
been set aside for our use. Most stayed until the early hours of the morning
swapping stories of events that had transpired in their lives over the past
37 years.
On Saturday we gathered together with the intent of doing a civil war tour of
Harpers Ferry, Antietam, and Gettysburg. Well as you can imagine trying to
get 7 cars of revellers going in the same direction at the same speed proved,
like one of the attendees stated, was more like herding cats than an
orchestrated event. Well all in all most enjoyed the scenery, the gorgeous
weather, the barbeque at a roadside stop and two of the sites that we
intended to see. For the sake of being dressed, refreshed and ready for the
evening dinner we skipped going to Gettysburg and headed back to Frederick.
Saturday night's dinner was a Pakistani / Indian feast where 30 attendees
consumed all sorts of delicacies and listened to 60s music on CDs. No one
came away hungary or disappointed. One attendee brought large maps of Lahore
and most tried to remember where to place their pin indicating where they may
have lived so many years ago. Well, of course, Billy Greenman, needed almost
a half dozen to mark his territory.
On Sunday morning a group of 15 got together for brunch while the remainder
headed to airports, train stations, and via car back to their homes in
Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, California, and Oregon.
There was much sharing of addresses, phone #s, e-mail addresses and such as
the event broke up with more than enough hugs going around to last us all at
least for a couple of days. There was lots of talk on where we were going to
do this again on how to bring together others that attended Savannah or
hadn't made either event for the next reunion. The one consensus was that it
was not going to be more than 2 years before we did this again.
Pictures will follow from those that attended so those of you that couldn't
make the event can see how much fun they missed. Many thanks to Billy
Greenman for acting as our chauffeur so that no one needlesly had to rent a
car, to Tom Coorsh for making up those great name badges with those ugly
pictures of us on them, to Letha Wheeless (Schriver) for the great maps of
Lahore, and to Becky Turner (Prosch) for the great pictures from Savannah.

because Meral Murat-Khan was here visiting from Lahore and we were trying to
find out about some of our colleagues. Very sad to see the news about Wes
Fisk. Does anyone know how he died? I have seen or kept up with a few of my
classmates and other LAS folks: besides Meral, I have seen Saquib Saigol
(last summer when I was in Lahore), Kamran Zali, Asif Saigol, Sergio Panu,
Tony Yusuf, Audie Chaudhry (some years ago). I just recently re-connected
with Amra Kevic, who is now in the Netherlands, working as a translator at
the ICTY. She has a 4-year old son, Marco. I regularly see and talk to the
Lowdermilks--mostly Mel, who is in London with three children. Nadine (Bowes)
Murphy has sent me wonderful pictures of several of the LAS reunions. As for
myself and my family: I teach at Boston Univ. law school, in the fields of
immigration, comparative refugee law, and international human rights. I have
a husband of 15 years, Jeff Boshar, and a daughter Shireen. My sister Alice
(Akram), brother John Akram and sister Mariana Akram all live in Michigan.
Many of you knew my mother, Portia Akram, who taught at LAS for years. She
passed away in November of 1998 after a difficult battle with a brain tumor.
I have made about six trips to Pakistan since leaving in 1975; we were there
last summer for a family wedding in Karachi, and stayed with Meral in Lahore
(who has three kids with husband Salim). Lahore looks beautiful, but the
country is in a mess stuck between Afghanistan and US policy. That's it for
now. My best to all old friends, and get in touch! Susan Akram.

Jim Schwartz recently sent me this WebSite, and I've been
reading amd reliving many fond memories of our 5.5 yrs. in
Lahore. Thought you'd like some updates on our family, and
especially new email addresses for Rynda and Dari.
We arrived there in early March 1960, and left in the great
evacuation of Sept. 1965, via the 7 big Air Force planes sent
over from Tehran, because of the war then raging between
Pakistan and India. (So....what else is new?!) I still have
several snapshots I took of those planes, with some of the
kids sitting on suitcases out at the airport waiting to board.
My husband, Ken McKinney, was with the Tipton & Kalmbach
engineering company, out of Denver, CO. Arriving with us were
our 4 young daus., Rynda, almost 12; Dari, 9; Debra, 5; and
Kenna (who turned 2 yrs. on March 5th, or the day we arrived.)
We had a son, Bruce, who was born in the old Lahore Christian
Hospital, on March 10, 1963.
Rynda, who married Pete Christensen of Farmington, NM, and
had 6 daus. is now living with him in Nashville, TN. Anyone
wishing to know further news may contact her at: Rynda.Christensen@HCAhealthcare.com
They now have 11 grandkidlets!
Dari married Norman Davis, while working back in Wash.D.C.
for the Government, and recently moved from Springfield, VA,
to Huntingtown, MD, on the Calvert Co. peninsula. They have
a son and a dau.; the son and his wife have 3 small sons of
their own. The dau. is now attending graduate school at the
Univ. of Northern VA, with a major in Psychology. You may
contact Dari at: nddavis@gis.net
Debra married Allen Henrie, of Price, UT, back in 1972, and
has always lived there. They have 3 sons and a dau. You
may contact Debra via her son, Scott's email address:
henrie130@emerytelcom.net
Kenna married Johnathan Onoman of Provo, UT, and they
live in a Salt Lake City suburb, with their 12 yr. old dau. and 2
younger sons. Their email address: kujout@juno.com
Bruce married Richelle Dunn of SLC, and they have 2 daus.
and 2 sons. They live in Draper, in the SE corner of the SL
Valley. Bruce was only 2.5 when we were evacuated from
Lahore so has no memories of Pakistan! His email address:
brjabk@att.net
When our family was evacuated from Pakistan, we returned
to our home in Sacramento, CA. Ken once again worked for
the Calif. State Water Resources, where he'd been before.
This time we lived south of Fresno, then Bakersfield. In 2.5
yrs. we moved to Utah, where Ken was with the Utah State
Water Rights for 8.5 yrs., first in Cedar City, then Price. By
that time both Rynda and Dari were married.
In early 1977 we moved to just north of Tampa, FL, where Ken
was a Project Engineer for Florida State Water Well programs.
Only Bruce went with us, as Debra was also married by then
and Kenna off on her own, back in Price, UT.
After living in a sauna-like atmosphere for nearly 4 years, Ken
decided it was too much, and he applied for a position with
Maryland State Water Resources. He was chosen over 50 other
applicants, and we moved up to Annapolis, on the Chesapeake
Bay. We enjoyed our lives there for 11 yrs., until he retired in
Dec. 1991, Then we once more moved back to Price, UT.
We had nearly 11 years of peaceful existence here, did some
traveling, took an Alaskan cruise, and enjoyed seeing our
granchildren grow up. Some of them have also married by
now and we have 14 great-grandkidlets to date! Wonder
where all the years have flown by......?
We kept in touch with many of those we once knew in Lahore,
including Sid and Louise Allsop (living in Orem, UT) Bob and
Jane Amoureux (in northern Idaho), Clarence and Shirley
Erickson (she died of cancer 2.5 yrs. ago; Clarence moved
back to his hometown of St. Joseph, MO) 3 of their kids live
in the SLC area and the oldest son, Ted, in Colo. Springs.
Made contact 2 yrs. ago with Garth, Marie Jones (now in
Alaska) and their 2 sons, Duke and Kevin, in SLC. Have also
resumed contact, via email, with Wells and Donna Corliss,
now in Ogden, UT. When Clarence Erickson comes out, we
have all been getting together in SLC for an Indian dinner!
Wells has given me email addresses of the Bolgers and a
few others we used to know back in Lahore.
I'm sure all of us have unforgettable memories of those past
years in Lahore, and it's Great that so many of our children
can keep in touch, too.
Wishing everyone Peace and Happiness in times to come!

Thanks to Andy Kantner, I have discovered this site. I am living in

(Liz) Hartley Wiley is a children's
librarian, living in Willits, CA, and my brother Jonathan Hartley is
a county planner in Smithfield,
VA. My father David Hartley who just passed away in April, was an
Adviser of Students Affairs at
the University of the Punjab from 1960-62 on a Ford Foundation
project out of the University of
Chicago. My mother, Margaret Hartley was President of LAS during
1961-62, and was part of it
becoming an international school with Pakistani teachers and
students. She is unfortunately confined
to nursing care at Broadmeade in Cockeysville, MD. She would have
loved this site.
Kudos to those responsible for this site. I will follow it with
great enthusiasm!!!
Best wishes to all,

Certainly do hope that I can take part on one of the future reunions, where ever and when ever!
At this place I want to thank Mark for making all this possible. A whole bunch of great work!!!!!!
I think I could keep on writing for ages and believe it or not, I don´t know where to begin !! Anyway, I hope to get the
one or the message from a former classmate, schoolmate, friends or teachers. And once again, it´s such a fantastic feeling
to be thrown back 30 (thirty!) years in time and bring up all those good memories.
By the way, does anybody know anything of Paul R. Voss, the former principal at about that time? If so, please let me know,
no matter who it is.
And remeber folks - we´re the buffalos, couldn´t be prouder, if you can´t hear us, we´ll be louder.......!!!!!
Salam.

up LAS in the internet and was so happy to find this fantastic hompage!
Within secondes everything was there -everything. Names, places, various
occasions and exiting events (Summer School, Halloween Party, Teachers
we played pranks on.......). I will take a look at the dates for the
next reunion event and am happy and exitied to receive mails. I am
especially ancious to here of the whereabouts of Khalid Wasti or his
wonderful mother (probaly the best and most patient librarian on earth).
Or Abid Saigol whom I still must thank for his help back in 1978...Or
Danny Chaudry with whom I share alot of memories. I now work as regional
manger in Germay and Austria for a US telecoms company based in
