Introduction

During Aleister Crowley's Grand Ritual for achieving what he called " the knowledge and conversation with one's Holy Guardian Angel", The ritual entitled Invocation of The Bornless One culminates in a transcendental experience of communion with the Aspirant's "God or Goddess, Holy Guardian Angel, true self, Deity, Supreme Ideal or Power etc... and that it is during a part of the prelude to the attainment of this Vision that the Priest must make a Supreme Appeal to the Godhead on behalf of creation and Earth & All things upon it. S/he must cry-out from the deepest depths of his or Her innermost soul as if from the bowles of the Earth itself, one, single, word, GAIA !
If the priest has successfully achieved the correct state of exaltation and Samadhi this word irrupts from within with such force that its Intent, Will and meaning are unmistakably apparent to the Seeker as every part of his or Her being is poured into the Cup of transcendental Love for ALL things, after all, is not "love of God" nothing more or less than the ability within us to love absolutely and by so doing unite with that part of us which is
"as God" ?
Through this particular ritual exaltation "GAIA"is raised once more within our hearts and so to into the transcendental realms of Spirit. Kether and Malkuth are united as one within the Soul and the illusion of duality is destroyed along with the aspirants egotistic or false self identity.
This "raising of the Earth" echo's the theme of redemption, maybe because we are so conditioned to identify physical existence as a somehow imperfect or "fallen" state, but Magick aknowledges and seeks to refine the Genius at work within nature & being and seeks at the highest level to bring the human soul to knowledge of itself and its birthright right HERE on Earth right NOW, nothing more and nothing less, through both Eastern and Western disciplines of esoteric science, a universal creed of Love and Will, called by A.Crowley, THELEMA.

Thelema is a Greek word meaning Love & Will in the spiritual context as described above, the will to love.

GAIA is the Earth, Our Mother, Spirit & as Supreme Creatrix She is the Universe itself, The Lady of the Stars.
Our Soul is Her Child, And if the Promethean potential for Genius is awakened within the dormant Individual, a "Magical Child" who is "one with the Mother", Her only "Law" is LOVE. Her only desire to WILL to love INFINITLY.
What this means for each individual is as diverse as there are Stars and yet all are united under Her Wings. Each and every Individual is Sacred, as is each and every living thing. Only thus armed and spiritually wing'ed can we hope to learn once more to see the true miracle of Magick that LIFE itself IS and what , no matter what difficulties assail us, what a great and wonderful adventure life really is at every turn.

The Re-emergence of the Cult of The Goddess

To the ancient Greeks GAIA was not only the Earth itself and everything upon, in and under it, but She was also the Mother of Creation itself, the Mother of The Gods, (an exalted title for any Goddess ! ) It was She who gave birth both to Chaos and Chronos and She was the secret Goddess of the Highest Mysteries of ancient Greece, who themselves drew much of their wisdom from the ancient Egyptians and Babylonians. She is also often identified with Rhea, a pre-Greek clythonic Goddess.
It seems significant to me at this particular time in History to be more than mindful of the adoration and respect that the ancients held for this Goddess & all life on Earth as expressed through their respective religions & cultures and to work at maintaining a spiritual tradition which keeps alive the essence of our ancestors, for their struggle for wisdom & knowledge is our birthright. If we are to take heart and draw strength from these ancient mysteries we must also not be afraid to embrace the truth by recognizing that the West is at present increasingly responsible for vast area's of devastation and ruin and that these things have already caused a great deal of suffering not only to ourselves but already to many of the creatures of the Earth who have just as much, if not more, of a right to be here than we do for they are in a sense more ancient than mankind itself, after all, even sparrows are an "older" species than mankind !
My point is that they were here before us.
By keeping environmentalists and pressure groups divided by ignorance the ruling powers successfully maintain a status-quo on world economics and Industrial consumption which is polluting our planet and ourselves to a vast degree, all in the name of a relatively small minority of immensely powerful rich, greedy business men running governments, oil and pharmaceutical companies globally.
It is an insanity that the human race is still gripped in and we consider it wise to be mindful of truth and the harm that the big Industrial giants are doing by continuing to use poisons and toxins in Industrial processes which our planet will not sustain for very much longer.They are keeping quiet but skin cancer and lukiemia as well as viruses and flu-bugs have reached epidemic proportions here in the UK alone. Of course its all "business as usual" for the giant corporations, as they cry " let them eat bio-degradable washing-up liquid".
Never before have we needed SO much to forget about the parts and concentrate on the whole, we are not out of the woods yet, mankind needs to WAKE-UP to what is REALLY important about existence and what is plain stupidity, especially when we are presumed equip with human & potentially sentient Intelligence.

So, all in all I believe it very significant that the name of GAIA finds such an exalted place within one of Aleister Crowley's prime rituals of choice, as long as people continue to make such appeals on behalf Our beloved Earth maybe, just maybe there might still be some hope for humanity after all !!!

GAIA COMMUNICATIONS
Gaia Communications was set-up primarily as a means of providing an outlet for all of the creative work and energy of an Individual who has found that this world is so caught-up in the Illusions and distractions of material gain, monetary greed and mass exploitation of both people and the environment that our so-called "civilization" has created an utterly intolerable and inhuman set of conditions & circumstances in which greed, cruelly,corruption and perverted ingenuity are rewarded while genuine nobility, dignity, creative Intelligence and radical talent are scorned,alienated,cast-out and rejected in a multitude of subtle and sicophantic ways.Indeed the social structure itself, ruled by fashion and popular trend, polices itself and rejects all who do not follow in the one dimensional path of least resistance layed out for us by the dominion of "others", i.e. politicians,Peers, naive occultists with over inflated ego's , self-styled new age guru's, all who come under our general heading of Petty Tyrants.

It is for this reason that we at Gaia communications set ourselves apart from and OUTSIDE of ALL such tyranny, greed, mediocrity and blatant Ignorance which so often guilds itself with a coating of glitter, false gold & lies and calls itself "Authority."
On the surface it appears toady as if Individuality is doing well, in fact real individuality has NEVER been SO oppressed and eradicated while appearing otherwise, indeed as the Surrealist Artist "Joseph Beuys" once so succinctly said;

"The human condition is Auschwitz, and the principle of Auschwitz finds its perpetuation in our understanding of science and political systems, in the delegation of responsibility to groups of "specialists" and in the silence of intellectuals and artists. I have found myself in permanent struggle with this condition and its roots. I find for
instance that we are now experiencing Auschwitz in its contemporary character. This time bodies are outwardly preserved ( cosmetic mummification) rather than being exterminated, but other
things are being eliminated. Ability and creativity are burnt out ; A form of Spiritual execution, the creation of a climate of fear perhaps even more dangerous because it is so refined. "

Aliester Crowley once said, " The good things in life are there to be enjoyed, but never trusted", So to did the Situationists ( french radical thinkers) develop a critique of contemporary society today on the insidious way that control permeates people and their behavior. In fact consumer society has evolved to such a degree now that virtually every aspect of an individuals daily life is effected and controlled and dominated by monetary need or gain, reducing everything to its most common denominator. The TV has finally come to life and taken us over via the personal computer. One does not have to work hard to become a slave to the status-quo, one just has to continue to remain ignorant by serving the needs of the false self - i.e. - the "consumer"self. The "ego".

We have found ourselves in a constant daily struggle against the hypocrisy of this consumer society which has monetary greed & dominion over others at its roots only falling and failing whenever we have been convinced by others to compromise our integrity and personal Intelligence by going against what is our own true nature and Identity. We here at Gaia H.Q. want you to be freed from the tyranny of the interfering minds of desperate men who want you to belive in what they have to offer that you,supposedly, do not already possess.
Society is full of specialist's who want to convince us all that they know better what's good for us and whats not, Guru's, peers,self-styled saviours,scientists,priests,the "chosen ones", all of this nonsense is a trick and a trap designed to keep you from your self, your true identity. Why ? So that you do not put them out of a job ! True wisdom cannot be found amongst such people for their trade is slavery in one form or another, slavery to deception and exploitation of peoples natural inquisitivness..
The truth is that you possess a brain much the same as any other human-being and its about time we all started using it instead of looking elsewhere or to someone else for the manual, YOU are the manual.

TRANSCENDENTAL MAGICK

We on the other hand, draw our strength and inspiration from a reality far greater than the Illusions which threaten to swallow us as we all progress across the Abyss of material existence, each time we learn a little more about how simple ignorance and the refusal to aknowledge the existence of a "divine" or spiritual intelligence within ourselves can utterly paralyze the growth and genuine understanding of the vast potential which exists in every living thing as well as to denie the human-soul the flowering of the true Individuality which IS our birthright.

What does it mean to transcend? The theory is this, the more spiritual a person becomes the quicker their nerological nerons fire and as bio-electricity nears the speed of light itself the Magickal or spiritual being is beginning to identify with the biological genius that IS the human brain and its capacity to comprehend the apparantly incomprehensable,therefore the magickal being is coming near an aproximation of being able to travel at the speed of light as and when their experience tells them that it is a closer aproximation to identify with their inner workings than their physical,psychological or mental states but rather their nerological one, when a person acheives this it is usually called samadhi or enlightenment etc however they usually fail to describe the experiences from a scientific standpoint and that is this-that when we attain to what we call the Spirit,we have correctly identified ourselves with our nerological self and in so doing are awakening to that paert of ourselves which really IS travelling at the spped of light, that part of us which travels at the speed of light is outside of relative time and space as science attests and as such once awakened to this fact the consciousness as well as our entire beings are effected by this fact in a myriad of ways which have been described in almost every conceivable way,but we shall refrain from mythical language and simply say that when we identify with that part of ourselves which travels at the speed of light we are accsessing an almost infinte power within ourselves and it is this power which drives the entire human organism to do and be everything that it can be-i.e.-it awakens the genius within us, it also places the wakening magickal being outside of and quite beyond so-called normality or time and/or aging as we know it.

"GaiaCommunications" then, is a desperate attempt to claim back that birthright for and on behalf of ourselves and this beautiful universe we all share in, A resounding cry from the depths of a soul to STOP the insanity before its to late, to WAKE-UP, why ? Because our planet is being polluted, destroyed and ruined all for the greed of a few rich men and as long as the "masses" are being perpetually distracted by material gain,loss,poverty,consumer society or the alternative new age consumerism, as long as they are all busy being distracted they will not bother trying to wake-up, and until we DO just that greed and stupidity will continue to reflect back on our lives and WILL continue to wreck OUR lives and OUR Planet.

We ALL need to re-claim our birthright and heritage as scared beings for until mankind realizes that every single one of us is as important as the other there will continue to be behavior which puts our own true human Intelligence to shame.
However, even though we have been ever faced with frustration, difficulties and set-backs it still remains to us an absolute truth that there are three fundamental functions of the human soul expressed through the four elements and that one of these three fundamental functions is in itself "communication", we see "communication" as the translation of "communion"- or "union with the soul" - Therefore we see it a a fundamental desire or "demi-urge" within the soul to attempt to communicate the Joy or Liberation of transcendental self-actualisation to others .
There is an innate human desire to translate or transmit to others those experiences and realizations which have successfully added something of permanent value to ones own life-experiences just as a flower transmits its "scent", In fact as Colin Wilson point out in his exellent book "The Outsider", it is precisely this urge or desire to acheive perfection which drives the artist or " aspirant" wether physical, ( a dancer) mental, (writer), or emotional (a painter).
The outsider strives to attain to a certain perfection through his/her chosen means of expression, he also goes on to point out that at the final conclusion each "outsider" striving to attain to perfection through the limited means of the material senses must ultimately fail and concludes that it is possible that the "outsider" having driven themselves by whatever means to the point of no return must either successfully become a mystic and achieve to final union with their beloved goal, or descend into madness, there is no alternative to those who have gone thus far.
Of course traditionally these people have always been the most outcaste of all, treated as lunatics, fanatics and madmen for the most part, occasionally as saints or prophets although nearly always after they are dead. However, in our own little way we hope to use this opportunity to share with you all of the good things which have come to us during these years of devotion to something other than what this material world has to offer. We are Magickal, Musickal Shaman travelling to different planets and universes and reporting back to Gaia H.Q. !!!

Do not think that because our Label is called GAIA that it aligns itself with the current new-age trends in that direction, No, Our GAIA is the "Supreme Goddess" of the ancient Greeks, the "All Mother" who birthed the
entire creation, the Mother of all the Gods. She is also everywhere, she is the BEST in me, the BEST In you, She is the Alpha and Omega & that which sustains creation, she is a field of wheat, a summers day, She is your health and life, She is the darkest night and the Mother of all monsters and outcastes, She defies definition and loves indescriminatly, but most of all She is Our Planet and our universe and as such if the child ( humanity) is ever to survive and grow into Divine or Intelligent maturity we are all going to have to learn to stop acting like the spoilt, greedy, selfish little brats we currently are for the most part, NOT with the attitude of a " superior intelligence" but with a true humility and reverence for all of life and this universe we all share for such a relatively short period of time.

While everybody is chasing their own little ego's lust for result they miss out on the real-life possibilities of genuine growth right under their noses all of the time. An entire life-time can be wasted chasing after the wrong things, all provided ( of course) by what William Burroughs called " the do-rights".As we have only touched upon a few subjects here in this introduction many of the ideas related to Gaia Communications will be found in the "Essays" sections of this site.By Proxy we see it as our duty to humanity to "bring the fire from heaven" back to humanity by finding ways to communicate the " good news" of the scientific & spiritual superiority of the human soul to "see" through all of the many veils of sorrow which life indeed can and does throw at us all & to this end we are very proud to present at last to you this web-site and our works.

As people follow blindly one fashion trend after another, wether it be the superficial fashion trade of clothes, status and styles, or more insidiously the "hipness" of currently popular social behavior from those who think themselves radical to those who simply follow blindly, all are subdued into the general morass of creative genocide, through Ignorance and the blind leading the blind has lead us all into the very inversion of what being human is supposed to be all about and as things have gone on we seem to have almost completely lost the need and recognition of the value of the "critique".When we loose our own ability to be self analytical, self-reflecting, self-critical, when
we lose the ability to discriminate between the truth and the lies we are capable of telling ourselves then we are in denial of the very thing which make all of us human, our Individuality, Or uniqueness, by remaining asleep we loose our soul, Our Spirit, wether it be to the status-quo or to some smart-assed Intellectual who thinks he has all the answers or for that matter some puffed-up loony occultist who has had his head stuck up his own arse for so long that he, forgotten that there is anyone else in this universe except themselves, Or some airy-fairy new-ager selling their wares or wisdom Mankind threatens as ever to sink yet deeper and deeper still into the general morass of
mediocrity and second-hand experience or substitutes for experience such as TV & PC's

So, Having sufficiently examined the overall arena we at GAIA HQ have decided to create our own alternative to the mediocrity of the "available". The Holy sanctuary of the Invisible College shall never be profaned by those who seek to exploit it by claiming that they alone have the "answer" for the gate-way to this most sacred of Universities is NOT to be found anywhere in this world, only within yourself will you find the door.Anyone who claims to know more than you do about the science of self realization is a liar,false prophet and cheat & a we suspect that the world is about to become full of charlatan,Idiots and liars ( isn't it already?)
We are declaring our Divine Birthright to the divine Intelligence housed in this body and our Total Independence from ALL such corruption, mediocrity, banality, boringness, complacency, greed, lust for power and worst of all, PETTY TYRANNY whereby small minded & desperate little men convince their "chosen few" to "believe" in them, but in the final analysis a baby crying for attention is a baby crying for attention & an idiot is an idiot and The Goddess sometimes can makes Fools of us ALL.!! :-)
