Welcome!
Greetings. My name is Elyse Boucher. I have a wide variety of
hobbies and interests; these are reflected by a number of pages
scattered over several sites.
The primary purpose of this particular page is to serve as an
index to the variety of sites I am maintaining. Nothing is ever
completed, especially as I have a tendency to work on one page,
then another, as interest strikes.
A quick note about commercial sites...
Many of the sites are located at sites that use quite a lot of
advertising to defray the cost of hosting thousands of web pages
at no charge to the person maintaining a personal home page. If
you use Netscape, Internet Explorer, or other browsers of that
ilk, you are going to get pop-up windows containing
advertisements.
My suggestion to you is this: switch to Firefox.
Firefox is particularly effective when browsing Tripod sites,
with their pop-ups, pop-unders, and forced frame searches. If you
must use Internet Explorer, get a tool bar to block the
popups. My favorite is the Google
toolbar.
Follow these links to a variety of sites under construction.
Merouda.com
- At last, my own site capable of holding all the stuff
currently scattered all over the web and hosting all the
stuff I have been trying to do. Everything listed below
is slowly migrating to this site. However, slowly
is the operative word. No ads, no popups: wonderful. One
day, when it's finished, everything will be there.
Someday. Ah, someday. ;-)
On
Illuminated Manuscripts online since 1997!
- Hosted by Geocites. This is the site I have put the most
work into. I do work-for-hire as an artist in a rather
obscure art: I make reproductions of book pages in the
style of books made before the year 1600. This site grew
out of my love for the art of the manuscript book. It
contains a goodly amount of information regarding the
making of such books, a portfolio, a bibliography of the
art, and an excellent link list.
The Gryphon's
Seeblatt
- Hosted by Tripod. This site is intended to hold a
plethora of pages regarding my huge variety of hobbies
and links to the activities of other family members. At
the moment, it contains a short bio and a bit of
information about my activities with the Society for
Creative Anachronism, Inc.
The
Evergreen Herald
- Hosted by Tripod. As a medieval re-creation society, the
SCA, Inc, has a need for heralds. I'm one--yet another
esoteric art form, medieval heraldry. This is the
beginning of a page regarding the office of the Evergreen
Herald.
- Of course, I'm not the Evergreen Herald anymore. However,
I am still working on a leftover project from my time as
a group herald: the practical use of heraldry. The
beginnings of that web site are at http://www.merouda.com/asheraldry.
About Me on eBay
- Links to eBay, obviously, and is most useful for
displaying the things I have up for auction.
In Future
Like all my other sites, there is much planned here. However,
the CompuServe site is a little more complicated to set up, so
for now, it will be devoted to directing you to the projects I'm
currently working on. I'll keep this page updated with progress
at the other sites whilst I work on.
Of course, something that keeps me from too much work on the
Cserve site is....
