Background

The querent had suffered for many years from a weakness in the chest and lungs area. His condition had recently become worse and he now wondered if the problem was more serious than he suspected.   The question was asked before an appointment was made to see his doctor.

Significators

Saturn ruling the Capricorn ascendant and the Moon for the querent.

Mercury ruling the 6th house cusp for the illness.

Judgement

There were no aspects between Mercury and Saturn, or the Moon and Mercury, this looked promising as no aspects would show that there was little to worry about. If there had been perfection between the significators it would have shown that the problem was indeed serious.

On the other hand, Mercury applied by square to the ascendant degree. This looked dangerous. Fortunately, before Mercury could perfect the square to the ascendant it went stationary direct at 5.01 Libra. This is a rule called refranation which proved very fortunate for the querent.

Conclusion

No major deterioration in the querent's health will occur, his present condition was not a serious one.

Result

Within a week his health improved with the use of antibiotics supplied by his doctor. He still has the problem and has learnt to live with it and keep it under control.
