Translation of Light 1

DEFINITION
When the two main significators have separated from a major aspect, the Moon or a fast moving planet such as the Sun, Mercury or Venus, separating from one significator and applying to the other by major aspect, can act as a transmitter and reunite the two significators and bring perfection. The transmitting planet can translate more than one separating significator to more than one applying significator as long as they are within the moiety of orbs.

Although the three outer planets are never used as main significators, they can be involved in translations of light.

THE POWER OF TRANSLATIONS
The translation involving the three planets can prevent a fourth planet from aspecting any one of them, even if that 4th planet is a significator.

Also, any one of the three planets involved in the translation can be prevented from aspecting a fourth planet which may or may not be a significator.

Examples
Examples 1: Venus ruler of the ascendant at 25 Sagittarius has separated from a trine to Mars ruler of the 7th house at 22 Leo but the Moon at 24 Libra separates from a sextile to Mars and applies by sextile to Venus reuniting both planets by trine.

Example 2: Venus ruler of the ascendant at 5 Capricorn has separated from a square to Saturn ruler of the 4th house at 2 Aries but the Moon at 4 Cancer separates from a square to Saturn and applies by opposition to Venus reuniting both planets by square.

Example 3: Venus ruler of the ascendant at 25 Libra has separated from an opposition to Jupiter ruler of the 9th house at 22 Aries. The Moon at 24 Gemini separates from a sextile to Jupiter and applies by trine to Venus reuniting both planets by opposition.

Example 4: The Sun ruler of the ascendant is at 1 Leo, Mars ruler of the 9th house at 2 Leo, Mercury ruler of the 2nd house at 4 Leo and Venus ruler of the 3rd house at 5 Leo. Since Mercury is normally the fastest moving planet, it is the translator. In this example Mercury is able to translate 2 sets of planets.

(a). Venus has separated from a conjunction with the Sun. Mercury at 4 Leo separates from a conjunction with the Sun and applies by conjunction with Venus reuniting both planets by conjunction.

(b). Venus has separated from a conjunction with Mars. Mercury at 4 Leo separates from a conjunction with Mars and applies by conjunction with Venus reuniting both planets by conjunction.

Example 5: The Sun ruler of the ascendant is at 11 Gemini, the Moon at 12 Sagittarius, Venus ruler of the 3rd house at 10 Gemini, Mercury ruler of the 11th house at 13 Gemini and Saturn ruler of the 7th house at 9 Aquarius. Since the Moon is the fastest moving planet, it will be the one doing the translating.

In this example the Moon is able to translate several sets of planets.

(a). The Moon has separated by sextile from Saturn and applies by opposition to Mercury therefore re-uniting Saturn and Mercury by trine.

(b). The Moon has separated by opposition to Venus and applies by opposition to Mercury therefore re-uniting Venus and Mercury by conjunction.

(c). The Moon has separated from an opposition of the Sun and applies by opposition to Mercury therefore re-uniting the Sun and Mercury by conjunction.

This may also occur by any other combination of applying major aspects.

Translations of light 1 by parallel of declination

Example 1: The Moon at 13N49 separates by parallel from Saturn at 05N23 and applies by contraparallel to Jupiter at 15S12. The Moon translates the light of Saturn to Jupiter bringing them back into contraparallel once again.

Example 2: The Moon at 09N28 separates by parallel from Mars at 06N44 and applies by parallel to the Sun at 16N26. The Moon translates the light of Mars to the Sun bringing them back into parallel once again.

Translations of light 1 by antiscia

Example 1: The Moon at 13.46 Leo separates by square from Jupiter's antiscion at 09.13 Scorpio and applies by sextile to the Sun's antiscion at 14.49 Gemini. therefore translates the light of Jupiter to the Sun by the antiscia. The Sun at 15.11 Cancer having separated by trine from Jupiter's antiscion.

Example 2: The Moon at 24.45 Capricorn separates by sextile from Jupiter's antiscion at 13.54 Scorpio and applies by square to the Sun's antiscion point at 06.28 Taurus. The Moon translates the light of Jupiter to the Sun by the antiscia. The Sun at 23.32 Leo having separated by square from Jupiter's antiscion.
