Translation of Light 2
DEFINITION
This version of translation of light happens when the two main significators have not as
yet perfected their aspect in the ephemeris. They are brought together by the action of
another faster moving planet separating from one significator and applying to the other by
major aspect within the moiety of orbs. More than one pair of planets can be translated by
a fast moving planet.
Although the three outer planets are never used as main significators, they can be
involved in translations of light.
Examples
1: Mercury ruler of the ascendant at 3 Libra is applying by trine to Jupiter ruler of the
7th house of the quesited at 7 Aquarius but has not yet perfected. The Moon at 6 Libra has
separated from a conjunction with Mercury and applies by trine to Jupiter transferring the
light between the two planets. The Moon's action has the ability to bring about perfection
before it occurs in the ephemeris.
2: Venus ruler of the ascendant at 26 Aries is applying by conjunction to Jupiter ruler of
the 8th house of the quesited at 1 Taurus but has not yet perfected. The Moon at 29 Leo
has separated by trine from Venus and applies by trine to Jupiter transferring the light
between the two planets.
The Moon also transfers the light of Venus to Saturn at 2 Capricorn which acts as a
significator in a second question, since Venus applies to Saturn by trine.
Example 3: Mercury ruler of the ascendant at 5 Libra is applying by conjunction to Venus
ruler of the 3rd house of the quesited at 9 Libra but has not yet perfected. The Moon at 6
Gemini has separated by trine from Mercury and applies by trine to Venus transferring the
light between the two planets.
The Moon also transfers the light of Mercury to Jupiter at 10 Leo which acts as a
significator in a second question, since Mercury applies to Jupiter by sextile.
The Moon's action has the ability to bring about perfection between more than one pair of
significators before they perfect in the ephemeris.
Translations of light 2 by parallel of
declination
Example 1: Venus at 21N08 separates by contraparallel from Jupiter at 15S12 and applies by
parallel to the Sun at 23N07. Venus translates the light of Jupiter to the Sun.
Example 2: Mercury at 19N17 separates by contraparallel to Jupiter at 14S54 and applies by
parallel to Venus at 24N19. Mercury translates the light of Jupiter to Venus.
Translations of light 2 by antiscia
Example 1: Venus at 05.40 Virgo separates by
square from the Sun's antiscion at 24.47 Taurus and applies by sextile to Jupiter's
antiscion at 11.26 Scorpio therefore translates the light of the Sun to Jupiter before the
Sun at 05.13 Leo perfects its square to Jupiter's antiscion.
Example 2: The Sun at 04.25 Libra separates by conjunction from Saturn's antiscion at
26.05 Virgo and applies by opposition to Mercury's antiscion point at 10.59 Aries. The Sun
translates the light of Saturn to Mercury.
