Collection of Light 3

DEFINITION
When the two main significators do not aspect but each applies by major aspect to a third planet, this third planet can act as a transmitter and collect their light bringing them together as if in major aspect. Whether the planets apply by direct or retrograde motion to the transmitting planet is of no importance. Furthermore, the transmitting planet is able to collect more than one pair of significators provided they are within the moiety of orbs.

Although the three outer planets are never used as main significators, they can be involved in collections of light.

Examples
Example 1: Mars ruler of the ascendant at 8 degrees Taurus does not aspect Venus ruler of 2nd house of the quesited at 5 degrees Aries, but Jupiter at 9 degrees Cancer will receive a square from Venus and a sextile from Mars therefore collecting their light and bringing perfection.

Example 2: Mars ruler of the ascendant at 9 degrees Gemini does not aspect Venus ruler of the 7th house of the quesited at 7 degrees Capricorn, but Saturn at 11 degrees Libra will receive a square from Venus and a trine from Mars therefore collecting their light and bringing the planets together so that perfection will take place.

Example 3: Retrograde Mercury ruler of the ascendant at 7 degrees Cancer and Venus ruler of the 2nd house of the quesited at 4 degrees Leo are not in major aspect to each other since they are in adjacent signs, but Jupiter retrograde at 5 degrees Scorpio will receive a trine from Mercury and a square from Venus therefore collecting their light and bringing the planets together so that perfection will take place.

The usual description of a collection of light which has been handed down throughout the ages is that when the two significators do not aspect each other, but both aspect a more weighty planet than themselves and they both receive it in some of their essential dignities, then that planet will collect both their lights and bring the thing asked about to perfection.

Example 3 above does not conform exactly with this description but since the cosmic laws or rules are based on major aspects, then Mercury even though at a later degree and a lighter planet than Jupiter, is still applying by trine to Jupiter, therefore fulfilling the cosmic law. Whether or not the planets are in each others essential dignities is irrelevant as an absence of essential dignities cannot overrule the power of the major aspects.

Example 4: The Sun at 10 Taurus does not aspect Venus at 12 Gemini but Jupiter at 15 Aquarius receives a square from the Sun and a trine from Venus therefore collecting the light of both planets and uniting them as if in Major aspect.

At the same time, Mercury at 11 Aries signifying a third person in the question does not aspect the Sun but applies to Jupiter by sextile which then collects the light of the Sun and Mercury bringing them together as if in major aspect. In the meantime, Mercury applies to Venus by sextile.

Example 5: If Mars at 13 Aries was added to example 4 then Jupiter would collect the following pairs of planets:
(a) The Sun and Mercury.
(b) The Sun and Venus.
(c) The Sun and Mars.
Meanwhile, Mercury sextiles Venus and conjuncts Mars, and Venus sextiles Mars.

Collection of light 3 by parallel of declination.

Example 1: The Moon at 13N49 applies by parallel to the Sun at 23N07. Mercury at 24N15 applies by parallel to the Sun. The sun collects both their lights even though they are outside the moiety of orbs.

Example 2: Venus at 05N18 applies by contraparallel to Pluto at 08S31. Jupiter at 16S35 applies by parallel to Pluto. Pluto collects both their lights even though they are outside the moiety of orbs.

Collection of light 3 by antiscia.

Example 1: The Moon at 24.07 Taurus applies by opposition to Neptune's antiscion point at 01.37 Sagittarius. Mercury at 01.33 Virgo applies by square to Neptune's antiscion point. Neptune collects both their lights even though the Moon does not aspect Mercury's antiscion at 28.27 Aries.

Example 2: The Sun at 03.16 Virgo applies by conjunction to Saturn's antiscion at 10.10 Virgo. Mercury retrograde at 12.42 Virgo applies also by conjunction to Saturn's antiscion. Saturn collects both their lights even though the Sun does not aspect Mercury's antiscion at 17.18 Aries.
