Introduction
We are both members of the British Koi Keepers' Society (BKKS) and of the ZNA. We live in the north of England and have been keeping koi for over 18+ years. As well as looking after koi we both enjoy the hobby in different ways. Kate is a BKKS Judge (JSC Chairman) and a ZNA Locally Certified Judge. Kate has judged koi in the UK for some 10+ years and has also judged shows in the USA, Holland and Japan.. Kate gives talks on koi appreciation and classification and has published many articles in the koi magazines. Andrew is interested in Koi Photography and has photographed koi at shows for many years. Examples of his work can be seen in the BKKS, Koi Carp magazines and on this page.
